Table Leg Storage Clip Upgrade

When traveling, the table legs would bounce around in the closet and frequently end up going down into the corner hole in closet deck. This is a problem because it could foul up the wiring and heater duct work below. Not good...

Decided to put a second pair of clips in so that the legs wouldn't move around laterally. The airstream part number is 382077 but both airstream and colonial airstream parts departments never replied to my email inquiries. Being to lazy to pick up the phone, I ended up going with beefier sail boat style clips to secure the table leg posts. I like the results. These heavier duty clips hold the posts off the closet floor...

I used two pair of Beckson CLP-2 "Clipper Clips" and 8 count of Flat head #8 5/8" wood screws. I pre-drilled the holes with a 7/64" drill bit. Don't drill more than 1/2" as your fridge is behind the wall!

Great idea and tanks for posting. I've been looking for something like this and have not had any success at Lowe's and the like. I should have known that there would be a source in the marine industry.

The Airstream part would clip in with a lot less force. I think many would prefer that over these Clipper Clips.

We have used the sailing clips for many projects - excellent use here!
