Small motorcycle in EB 25"????

Thinking about loading a small motorcycle in the back of my EB 25ft. less then 500 lbs. I will not load tanks with water or anything. Any drawbacks you could think of?

Yes. Loading heavy items behind the axles will take weight off the tongue and possibly make it unstable.
Then, there's no way around the gas smell with having a engine bouncing down the road in an enclosed space.
Lastly, It gets in the way of using the space where the bike is.

All those things can be overcome, or lived with as long as you're aware of them.

I have loaded similar weight loads to my 27FB Eddie Bauer and I would urge you to load motor cycle as close to the axles as possible. Maybe consider installing some extra loops to make sure it does not move while driving. But other than that, just go for it!

I'd keep whatever you load back there close to the axles as possible and something less than 400 pounds. It's designed for that, but it's not a true "Toy Hauler" you could carry a Harley or a big bike in. We have a modified Safari 25 with an Eddie Bauer rear hatch that was custom installed and usually carry our 2 electric bikes inside. I have carried our Honda Big Ruckus Scooter back there, but it's much harder to load and un-load even with a ramp.

No drawbacks; that is one of the big reasons we bought our first EB.
Works great for a Yam XT250 and BMW 1200 GS ... not both at the same time, however.

So what exactly are the rear hatch dimensions, height and width? I'm interested in the EB for that reason alone. What is the clear length from the rear hatch to the furniture/cabinets toward the center (length). That said does anyone have suggestions how to bring the Harley along? I've read in other post that suggest not adding too much weight on the rear frame.

it is 100" from inside of door to fridg. you can put front tire past fridg you have about 5 ft side room. depends on modal of BMW. there is room to but bike the prob. is 1. wight of bike <500lbs, 2 high of bike if it has a windscreen you might have a prob. I can NOT/ will NOT but my Indian roadmaster in it. I was looking to pick up a Moto Guzzi 750 it would fit. The BMW's sit high so watch that. Also if you load a bike I would not load H2O in tank. Just my take.

We recently bought an EB and plan to haul a motorcycle inside as well. I think the tie-downs need to be reinforced though. Has anyone successfully done that? If so, what is the process?
