Newbie alert - '13 Eddie Bauer 25'
Hello everyone in Airstream land!
I just negotiated the purchase of my first ever TT and I would't settle for anything less than the beloved Airstream. I was fully smitten with the Tommy Bahama edition especially after, (two days had pasted) I realized it had the rear hatch. I was done!!! I set out to find me a TB. As you know all things AS are on the high side. Two weeks ago on my travels from Michigan to Florida I stopped at a few dealers taking a peek here and there. With the attitude, third times a charm, I pulled into a rather small RV dealer and parked right along side a shiny Airstream - only to flip out - realizing it was my rear hatch dream...not a Tommy, but close enough for me, an Eddie for sale - WT
I had poked and prodded that damn thing like I was taking it home that day. I kept waiting for the salesman to come out, poked and prodded some more. When I pulled in the manager said 'That's a clean EB, I 'll send someone out' Well I continued exploring my Christmas present, 20 minutes later I went inside for assistance, only to learn it was PENDING. :census: Score one for me as I made the top of the list for back up offers.
So, I checked in a few days later, yep still pending. My definition; called and left VM for salesman and 10 minutes later called again to actually speak with him. Still a no go he comfirmed it's a solid deal. This past Friday, week 2, I see it's no longer pending - in desperation and with little hope, I called the dealer AND found out its for sale as the deal fell though the previous day - celebration music please . .
My post panic attack a few minutes ago, cemented the fact I just spent hard earned cash, (I might have one more in me) now I need to work on the many other details - insurance, where to park her, what to call her, does the toilet flush as it should, are the pipes stopped up? - sorry random thoughts keep entering my mind. Crap back up camera...
I'm sure most new AS owners had similar jitters, worries, and sheer excitement after their purchase
I'll be glued to the forums now more than ever...
Plan to full time in her for the winter and make plans for spring travels west!
I hope to pick it up by the end of the week.

Newbie alert - '13 Eddie Bauer 25'
Congratulations! My wife and I are new here to the forums, and are in a similar situation to yours - for some silly reason, we've fallen for the hatch. We're waiting on a TB to arrive at the local dealer next month so we can lust over it, and decide which children we'll be selling to pay for it. In the meantime, we spend our time here on the forums, learning as much as we can do that we're better-informed buyers. Congrats again, and happy trails.

Congrats
We bought our 2012 Eddie Bauer named LUCY back in Jan 2013 new and it is the BEST. You will have people in every park you stay in saying wow thats cool can we have a look inside? The back end being able to open up is the bomb. The only issue we have had with ours is the radio died after 4 years, no big deal. Best of luck Your going to have a blast

Welcome to the Airstream World and the Eddie Bauer world....we got ours about 2-1/2 years ago and did not realize what we had. As a previous post indicated, when you open that back door, you can gather a crowd. We love it and would not want any other model (but it seems all Airstreamer's love what they have, thats what is great about them). Have traveled about 25,000 miles in the last two years and are getting ready to take another 8-10 week, 10,000 mile trip. Hope to see you on the road.
All the Best - Andy & JoAnne

Solar for the EB 25?
Our new to us '15 EB airstream (we have named Pearl) is pretty well loaded except for solar. Has anyone added it aftermarket? We tend to mostly boondock, so this is something we want to add sooner rather than later.

Fly Navy
AirUSN,
Sierra Hotel on the Eddie Bauer! I hope you enjoy! We are looking at a Tommy Bahama. My wife fell for it the moment she stepped in!
Also, need to ask, what did you fly? I was backseat in Tomcats, VF-51, Carl Vinson and a shooter on Nimitz.

Love the TB as well. Maybe in a few years I'll upgrade to a 27'
I'm not a pilot and I thought about that after I created my handle, but on my Land Rover and BMW forums I have USN as the ending as well.
Good luck and hope you search ends soon!

Thanks for the photos. We just took our first trip in our EB 25. Absolutely love the AS. Since we ended up going with a heavy duty tow vehicle (F350) we have been second guessing the 25 vs 27. But after we returned home and had to maneuver down our rather windy driveway and park it next to the house, we were convinced the extra couple of feet would make things more difficult!
Enjoy!
