Help! Location of Circuit Breaker in our EB 25

Our water heater was working yesterday and is not tonight... Manual is confusing... Can anybody tell us... Is circuit breaker under the bed where we have no way of reaching it???

The water heater circuit breaker should be in the main power panel, wherever that is in the EB. There is not a separate one on the water heater itself.

You do have the water heater switch on electric, I assume. It is easy to turn it off by accident. Mine, propane and electric, are black in my FC 20 and are hard to see if they are on or off.

Does the water heater work on propane?

That is the problem, we **Can't **find the circuit breaker box area... Manual says located beneath the dinette... But in the Eddie Bauer the seats lift up... There is only a speaker underneath a bench seat.

If you are asking about the 120 volt water heating element circuit, look in the main distribution panel (the breaker box)
If you are asking about the 12 volt water heater igniter circuit, there is a fuse or a breaker in the 12 volt distribution panel.

Not sure where these are locate in your unit, but they would not be hidden under the bed. The 120v breaker box in my Safari is beneath the closet door covered by a wood panel held in place by Velcro. The 120v breaker box in my Excella is inside the overhead cabinet above the bed. The 12v panel is on the front wall near the converter in both.

Water heater was working on electric for a day..... When we discovered it not working an hour ago.. We tried seeing if it would work on propane, does not seem to be functioning on propane.

I found online that the 2015 EB models have the combination 12v & 120v electrical panel/converter. If yours is similar, look at the metal cover that is located just beneath the pullout pantry just above floor level. Both 120v breakers and 12v fuses are behind that cover. The one I saw online had a black metal cover, but I have seen these colored dark brown.

Kathy, glad to know you found the breakers. Sorry that wasn't the problem (and easy fix).

Your original post said "... under the bed where we have no way of reaching it... ". Pardon me if you know this already, but everything under the bed of your EB 25 is accessible easily. The mattress is on a hinged platform. It opens completely by standing at the foot of the bed and lifting up on the plywood on which the mattress sits. In addition to the electric system (120 volt breakers and 12 volt fuses), the power converter and inverter are under there. So is storage space, a bracket to hold the dinette top (the posts go in their own brackets in the locker next to the fridge) and access to the space utility locker compartment.

GammaDog, we had discovered via the manual that the converter and inverter were located under the bed. But they are in no way easily reached unless you are the size of an average ten year old which we are not . We've had our EB for a year and a half and have had no reason to even think about the breaker box since the walk-thru the day we purchased her.

Unfortunately the Manual that comes with the EB is the International Manual and placement of some equipment.....(the breaker box) is not as described within the International Manual (side of dinette)..... The dinette seat construction is different in the EB so instead, the breaker box was placed close to the floor on the bed platform.

My Husband tried another reset on the breakers the next day and all is well, plenty of hot water. Thanks again!

A reason to think about the factory breaker box is the all-in-one AC/DC/Battery charger unit that comes with the EB (at least in 2012) has a fixed voltage charger that tends to overheat the batteries shortening their lifespan. Many of us have upgraded to a progressive charging battery circuit.

FEEL your breakers, A popped one doesn't flip all the way down for OFF, just isn't all the way up. AND to reset them, you have to push the breaker all the way DOWN to off, then pull it back up to ON.

Next - look at the outlet in the bathroom - it is a GFCI - so if it is tripped your electric won't work in the water heater. Try testing and resetting the GFCI.

Last - Propane for heating your water: (We ALL went thru this once, then had the great "D'oh why is it that way?")
(A) make sure your propane tanks aren't empty and that you don't have air in your lines - light a burner on your stovetop to clear any air in the lines. If the burner works, you've got propane.
(B) no joy lighting burner - go outside and check the valves to see if they got turned off. If so, open at least one, then go back to (A)
(B) flip the switch for propane ON - the red light will blink and go back OFF. Stand quietly and you should hear a low pop and a whoosh - that's your propane lighting in the water heater - OR go outside and check, you should hear the water heater running and feel the heat from it's chimney. 5 to 10 minute wait time for tank to fully heat.
(C) was your Airstream winterized last year and is the water bypassing it - turn the Heat OFF!!!! Don't heat an empty vessel. Let everything cool down before change the bypass valves. Start over.
(D) if the red light comes back on and stays on, you've run out of propane or there's something else wrong with your heater. (Or just maybe there's a shutoff valve on the propane line under the belly pan - and your stove & furnace are fine, but not the water heater.
