It is a block sized to match the contour of the inner opening ... then carpeted at the friction points. This prevents distortion of the door frame when the bike is rolled in / out. The load of the bike and the upper ramp ends is spread over a much larger area that way. you can see it (gray block) just under the red vinyl upper ramp ends.

I'm owner of the 27FB Eddie Bauer and I have been actually using it to carry heavier loads. Last time I transported an actual art car to Burning Man in large aluminum boxes which were placed inside of Eddie Bauer, heaviest boxes were right above wheels. Towing vehicle (Escalade) was loaded full as well.

Total weight of these boxes was maybe 1200 lbs, which was a bit too much - however, I did not feel that unsafe when towing. I don't think you have problems putting that 600 lbs motorcycle there.
