Bars over the bed

Does anyone know what the small bars or racks located over the bed are for. They look a bit like towel racks but are too small and the location makes no sense for that.

If they are like mine, they are book/magazine racks - but it sounds like you are missing the white plastic "folders" that the magazine would fit in. Try looking in your cabinets - some folks remove the plastic parts because they are in the way. But they wouldn't have thrown them away.

Something about hanging stuff to dry like wetsuits, towels, got to read the brochure for all the special features.
Close to the windows for a reason.
I have plastic clothes pins that fit around the rail.

Only thing I can figure is drying towels etc. I agree, kind of strange.

These are unique to the Eddie Bauer. They are kinda stupid IMHO, but are meant for boondocking (off grid). Ponchos, rain gear, etc can dry out there. I would rather have one in the shower, but stuff will get funky mildewy in there if the fan is not running. I DID install a 3 post towel rack in my shower, my shower door went away in favor of a Stoett, and I use a little Vornado fan just outside the door to have a camping clothes dryer. You could hang the next morning's clothing on a hanger adding a bra and panties to the hanger so you don't wake your partner when you go out early to hunt.
