Traded 2005 Safari for 2012 International Serenity 28

Donna and I just returned from Foley RV Gulfport and traded our 2005 Safari 25 SS for a 2012 (New) International Serenity. This is the one that was at the Can Opener I was told. I had a damaged panel on the Safari and brought it in for repair, and that started the ball rolling. We are getting older and wanted a better bath and nicer bed. Plus the nice panoramic windows are a feature I really enjoy. The trailers have changed in many ways in the last 8 years, even the information bag you get is done in a much more professional manner. We won't pickup the trail for a month because we have other commitments but can't wait.

The staff at Foley RV couldn't of be nicer or more accommodating. They put up with Donna and I going back and forth between trailers for a couple of hours before making out final decision.

We thought about a fifth wheel or a small Class A but could never get excited about them, this Airstream thing really gets into your blood.

Donna and I only made the first Canopener, Our then pre freshmen son is now in his first year of college and we now have more time to enjoy streaming and each other.

The unit looks much better live than on the web. I had to convince Donna to take a look, the rest is history. Hope to see you on the road.

Congratulations

Jim,
Congratulations on your new 28' International. Vickie and I toured it at the Can Opener and it is a beautiful rig. I like the layout of the 28' a lot and I am betting you are going to enjoy it.

Hope you get to the 2014 Can Opener and have it available for tours again during the open house!
Alan

Brian, thank you. I know how much you and SueEllyn use your Safari and I pointed out to Donna that we had not even come close to breaking in the Safari. Our son is now in his first year of college and we feel we can start getting on the road more. I am still working as a contractor for your old employer but have more time now.

If you know anyone that wants a great low mileage Safari SS with new tires replaced due to age not wear and a new convertor tell them to go to Foley RV. I will drop her off this coming Saturday. We are leaving a lot of the accent items as they don't match the new unit so we will donate them with the trailer.

You made us so envious, Jim, that I just posted a new thread seeking counsel on renovating/replacing Lucy. We still love Lucy, but she is becoming whether-worn.

I'm glad to hear that you have retired. Our former employer has become almost unrecognizable.
