We purchased a 2012 Sport 16ft. We went with a smaller Airstream because we like to visit urban areas a lot. It fits everywhere and tows beautifully behind our 2014 Ram 1500. Just a perfect combination for us. We might upgrade to a larger unit in a few years, but for now, we are planning on clocking a lot of miles and the 16ft is most efficient. Also, forces us to be out and about more!

Gay folks like me like to post we are gay to connect with other gays, because it is actually another level of community. We love heteros, but with gays being so few in number, especially in such a select group as AS owners, we tend to feel a bit isolated and like to say howdy to folks that are open minded and have lived through our isolation. It's just another way of creating community, which for many of us, had been very difficult. I can honestlhy say I am touched by their openness and by the forum members' support! Thank you!

Gay, Hetero, white or black or whatever as long as you like and or have an AS you are OK in my book. Oh, and we love South Dakota Chick Squad, went to Sturgis three times during my 50 years of bike riding. Went back this past summer and fall to visit some places we had seen on the bike, loved it, going back through again this summer as well.

Be well and ENJOY

Bud

I am not gay, but you did say it well ChickSquad! I'm glad you all have a way of connecting with one another, but remember...there are many of us that don't give a rats behind and can be your friends as well!! Safe travels everyone!

If you'll note the subforum in which this thread was created, it's "Friends of Dorothy" which is an old-school slang phrase for gay. I realize that new posts/threads show up in the Portal and New Posts lists and which subforum it's posted in may not be apparent, I just want to point out that this is not done as an "in your face" thing, it's posted in a forum with related info and readers, like an article about a motorhome which is posted in the Motorhome subforum and may not interest you.

Nice, calm, non conflict escalating explanation. Very well done! Thanks!
