Welcome! Plan June around Nashville or Memphis! There may be an FOD rally there.

Welcome! In what area of LA do you live? We are in Valley Village ( Studio City area ). It would be great to meet you before you take off on your adventure. We completely agree with spenfolder about Utah. it is our favorite destination! We are planning a trip there sometime in October for a week. How excited you must be!

Arkansas is "The Natural State". Check with Arkansas Parks and Tourism.
We are in downtown LR so set up at the Downtown Riverside RV Park and give us a shout. Happy trails!!!

Mike and Adam in Maryland

Hello!

We will be proud owners of a 2016 26U next month (Feb, 2016). We are looking forward to meeting new friends and exploring all over our country, and maybe more! We're new so we have big dreams.

We cannot go to the FOD meet up in Tenn., but hopefully another time. Are there other meetings during the year and can you make any recommendations for a gay couple?

We own a home in Baltimore, MD and have been together now for almost 13 years. We got married in 2013. We have 2 Siamese cats that are just plain spoiled but we can't imagine life without them! They are toilet trained and we are hoping they make the transition from home to the trailer okay.

Any tips are very much welcomed so we'd love to hear from you! Take care,

Mike and Adam

Hi and welcome - don't have any advice for your specific question but wanted to congratulate you on the trailer - if I were going to get a new one, I'd look at that 26U very closely! Seems very cool!

Have you checked out any WBCCI units in your area?

Happy camping!

Welcome! It's too bad you can't make the rally in June. We only have one a year that we host but I keep hoping someone will have one out East and West! As for the cats they will probably do fine if they are used to traveling in the car etc but I'd keep them inside for the first few trips, I know a lot of people travel with cats and here is the link for people traveling with cats

Welcome and congrats on a very cool new trailer!!

Hi everyone. I am new to the western half of the US after a job transfer moved me to Great Falls, MT last November. Really looking forward to using my Airstream to travel the area and would appreciate any suggestions for gay events or campgrounds to check out. Planning to attend the Gay Rodeo in Calgary during July 4th weekend and very excited to be going down to Lake Tahoe this summer. Seattle and Pacific Beach, WA are on my trip list this summer.

Anyone going to Burning Man?? Sounds interesting but probably best to travel with a group.

Welcome to the west Mike1997. You have some amazing camping opportunities all around you. It sounds like you have a great summer planned. Montana is one of my favorite states to visit.

There is a good Burning Man group of streamers that go each year. Search for burning man and I'm sure you will find the discussion.

Happy travels in the west!

Hi from the beautiful Pacific NW

Ray and Steve here from Seattle area along with our black lab Juno. We met while in the military, Steve Army and Ray Navy. We have been together for over 20 years, married in Canada in 2004 and Seattle in 2012. (two anniversaries, twice as many celebrations and reasons to take a road trip). We are planning a 4-8 week trip South thru Oregon and California then back up thru Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Idaho.
We started our camping in tents, then moved up to a 16ft Scamp (which we took to Alaska) then decided we really liked this so we bought our first Airstream a 2015 20' Flying Cloud then just upgraded a few months ago to a 2016 27' Flying Cloud….I think we finally found the one Juno likes. We tow with a Ford 150 SuperCab. Hoping to meet up with any traveling the Pacific NW. We love camping along the Washington and Oregon coast.

Hey Ray and Steve and Juno. Welcome! Love the new trailer. Give a holler when you are coming through Utah. I know of some great "must see" stops. I'm hoping to make it up to the PNW this summer. The Oregon and Washington coasts are a favorite for me and my companion Ollie, the border collie.

Hello All!

Jim & Alfonso here. We've just joined the Airstream community with our new to us 2007 Safari SE 25FB. We are on Long Island in New York and love life on the water. We'll be retiring next year and we want to travel the country. Since we have 2 dogs (big Rottweiler and tiny MinPin...how's that for a contrast?) the best way to include them in our travels is by RV...and for me, a lifelong latent fascination with Airstreams means an Airstream was the only option. We are very excited to join the Airstream community, and look forward to meeting like-minded people at rallies, especially the FOD rallies.

Let's camp!

Jim & Alfonso

Welcome. Retirement is a bit away for us but keep us posted on your travels so we can live vicariously through you and we hope you can make it to our FOD rally!

Hello Jim and Alfonso and welcome! We too are new to Airstreaming. We're going on our first outing in a couple weeks to Point Lookout State Park in southern Maryland. Can't wait!

If you're heading south sometime let us know and maybe we can meet. I'm sure we'll see you at a FOD sometime though we can't make the one this May.

All the best,
Mike and Adam
