Welcome! We're excited to have you join us in June. Pictures are easy, on a PC go to advanced and hit the paperclip or on an iPhone hit the + next to send. Can't wait to meet you!

Welcome Tim, and hopefully you'll be able to join us in June.

From what you've posted on another thread it sounds like you've gotten off to a fast start on fixing things. Our first "social" Airstream trip was to the first FoD rally in Eureka Springs last year, and it convinced us that buying the Argosy was a good choice. (Well, it convinced my partner of it... I was the one rabid about buying one in the first place!) We've been to a few other rallys and group campouts since then and we're really looking forward to Hot Springs!

Intro

Just discovered this group. I have had my 2005 25' CCD since Jan. 2008. I mainly use it to go to sport car races @ Road Atlanta, Sebring, VIR, etc. I recently became an Adjunct Professor and will have summers off. I am looking forward to using my AS more this summer. Thinking about going to Alumapolooza. I hope to meet some of you in person.

Well I thinking about Alumapolooza then going to Mid Ohio the next weekend for he Grand Am race. Its a lot closer than Arkansas. Maybe if you have another gathering closer to the south east I am in.

Wow, far away. Are there any FODs and friends of FODs on the west coast that might be up for some kind of rally?

Just set one up and they will come! We set our up last year and had around 12 trailers and now were up to 20! If you want PM me and I can help you set one up for the West Coast, its easy and I'm sure you would get a great turnout! If we can get a rally going in the Bible Belt I'm sure you can in the West.

Welcome to the forums, John. Are you planning on coming to Austin for the F1 race?

Yes, planning on coming to the F1 in Austin, but will leave the AS behind. My sister has a house in Austin I can use, so I will fly in for the weekend.

Hey, a little off topic, but I thought you all might have a sense for this because you all seem to be generally in this part of the country: I'm driving from CA to RI in November and back again in early December. Sadly, not towing my Airstream, I'm driving my Honda Fit for economy and to haul some stuff. I'm curious to know if anyone has recommendations of better routes to take at that time of year. I've done it before in the summer, and taken 80 across, with some deviation for fun roads and sites. I imagine the southernmost route would be best, but being a California boy, I don't know much about "winter weather", other than harrowing drives over Donner pass to ski. Any (constructive) suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thats cool! A fellow F-1 fan
You can PM me if you'd like Clemson. Dont want to hijack this thread.
I'm a big F1 fan and would like to know where I can stay near the track and what airport to fly into for the show. If you can provide any details, I'd appreciate any information. Thanks

I have a fit also. my first recommendation is to avoid snow at all cost! The fit sucks in snow!! Unless you get snow tires and stay out of snow more then 4-5 inches. Other than that great car!

Thanks Jk. I love the Fit, and it's been awesome here in the land of floods and mud slides and twisty roads. For the snow, it's our Ridgeline, I've never had the Fit in the white stuff.
