Thanks Don,

I've already picked up several good ideas and tips from different folks from this forum. It is truly a great resource. Plenty of valuable tips and info!

Welcome to AIRForums and to our little subforum!

So you have a vintage 27' and the '08 as well? How long have you 2 been Airstreaming? These forums are great for us all, from relative newbies like me to the experts who offer invaluable knowledge. I learned enough to feel confident about buying a vintage Argosy, and the first 6 months have gone very well!

We too are relatively new to Airstreaming. We've had our '72 for less then 2 years and our '08 for just under 3 months. Sadly, our '72 has a lot of fram rust and will need a full frame restoration. As a result, I ended up getting a new one with a warranty attached to it :-). The '72 is still at our restorer's lot, awaiting someone to buy her as a park model.

Other than her frame needing a full replacement, the rest of her is vintage and original and in great working order. I offered to have the guy take her and use her for salvage parts, but he insisted that "she's too nice to be taken just for parts" and he wants to just be patient and wait until someone buys her as a park model.

We're delighted to see a FOD page for the A/S forum! My partner, Nate and I have been together for 9 years and bought our first Airstream almost 3 years ago. Looking forward to running into several of you during our travels.

And we're delighted to have you two introduce yourselves! Welcome, though I recognize the photo of your trailer from some time ago.

We all had such a great time at Eureka Springs that there's already talk of the 2012 FoD Rally, hopefully you'll be able to join us.

My partner Glenn and I will be picking up a 2009 Bambi International Signature 19ft on Friday. We've been camping in a T@B since 2007, and camped cross country this summer, towing it with a 2002 Saab 9-3 Convertible. Long story short, after that, we got a VW Touareg, and decided to "upgrade". And here we are. Looking forward to meeting y'all, and our first camping trip encased in aluminum...

Forgot to introduce myself

Hi,
I'm Derek, live in St Pete, FL. Recently purchased my 'new to me' 1989 Airstream 345LE motorhome.
Single, so all of my traveling will be just me and my Westie, Bentley.
So much to get done on moho, so doubt I'll be making any long distance trips (unless I win the lotto).
Still, I had my first camping trip in Airstream this past weekend. Whew! More problems, but it's dream since I was 5 years old to own an Airstream.
After cancer last year, I decided that all dreams are possible!
Here's a few pix of my 'new ride' as well as the world's best co-pilot.
Thanks, Derek

let's try my 1st camping trip one more time

Realized after uploading that I used the incorrect photo. Always thought my Airstream was HUGE, but after parking next to a 40ft 14 foot tall 5th wheel, the ol gal looked small.....
Oh well, had any number of 'knocks' on the door to see inside, all starting with "I never knew Airstream made a motorhome" lol
Thanks, Derek

Future Westie owner

Hi Derek,

My wife and I are camped in Red Bluff, CA for a couple of days, purpose of the trip was to meet a nice lady who's Westie just had a liter and we've got dibs on one of the puppies.

Can't wait for our upcoming trips with our new traveling companion, the puppy will be old enough for us to pick up on Thanksgiving weekend.

Here's a picture of me covered with Westie pups :-)
