Congrats Mark!!

My partner & I are new to the Airstream life as well!! We purchased a 1979, 31' International Sovereign Land Yacht back in 03/12. We've made a few improvements, but are eagerly researching & learning as we go. Our first outing was a 3000+ mile trip thru Colorado & we just returned from our 2nd outing thru Texas wine country. Good Times!!

Going to Texas Friday to pick the Airstream up... Any Advice?
Towing mirrors if you do not have them. I got these for my truck:

Milenco Grand Aero Towing Mirror | Milenco Limited | Caravan Products | Caravan Security | UK

they work great.

Wow! congrats that will be fun for you. I wouldnt know how to go out without having to fix something or other at every stop! Im starting one my 3rd reno this winter with a 1971 sov 28'. My last two were a 61 tradewinds and a 62 trotter. People are always friendly and curious so friends are easy to make . Enjoy it!

We just ordered a new Flying Cloud 27FB. We don't take delivery until Spring, 2014. We've already named her Maggie. I inherited some money from my Mom so thought it only appropriate that I name it after her. Thanks Mom! We're taking a big trip to Alaska next summer but going to take our 2012 Aliner because we can't stand the thought of dinging up the new Airstream. After Alaska, we'll hook up Maggie and hope to get out and meet you all at one of the rallies. Right now we're reading the forums for everything we can about towing, generators, pressure monitors for the tires, storage and organizing ideas and anything else we can think of to be ahead of the curve. You have all been most helpful. Thanks and hope to see you in the near future. Jim and Tim

Air Forums is a great resource for information. Cowboy Dave & I are still learning as we go. Hope we see you @ one of the Rallies, perhaps the FOD Rally @ Catherine's Landing next June.

Hope to see you all on the road!

Well - I do get paid so that helps

But the vets are great - a wild variety of personality types - boy do I have stories - save a few of those for around the campfire.

PharmGeek...thought that's what it meant...I'm a retail pharmacist...did 30 years at the hospital level then moved to retail in 2000...198 days until retirement (but who's counting?)...waiting for the AS to be delivered in Spring, 2014 then we're off to see the good ole USA...hopefully our paths will cross...JIM
