We camp at Grayson Beach often. Henderson Beach on occasion. Would like to explore new camping ideas. Hit us back with some great places to camp close to New Orleans

Hey we are neighbors! Let's share our favorite spots...
We did our first overnight at the Hollywood Casino RV spot in Bay St Louis. Not exactly a wilderness experience but good for first timers. Plus a $39 four course dinner for 2 was pretty sweet.
Want more info on Grayton Beach. Could we bring a big dog?

Grayton beach is awesome, and if you cant get a site there try henderson beach (not as rustic but extemely well managed, beautiful and clean, not to mention a just a walk to the beach.
Secret to reserving in the campgrounds. Book way ahead on dates you desire. Even if you might cancel. Campground i hard to get into.

Buccaneeer state park in bay st louis. Close, clean, wave pool, casino 1 mile away.

Palmetto state park in lafayatte. Beautiful, quiet close to good cajun food

up the creek rv park, pigeon forge, tn. Quiet, big sites, on creek, next to national park. This is the best park outside the national park with full hookups. (no hookup in park...boondock)

First airstream

PharmGeek,

Our "baby" is a 70 lb labradoodle...our human children are ( mostly) out of the house.
You will make wonderful memories with your family in your airstream. Priceless!

Hello there LuckyDog

We spent last weekend at the Abbeville RV park. 55 shaded sites. Very quiet and private. 1 mile nature trail in the woods for your dogs. No public bathrooms. Good spot to explore the region. $20/night.
This weekend we are going to try Palmetto Island State Park. Will send you a report.
