Ya know, i've found that my friends chose me, and I'm richer for their choice...I don't care what your inclination is, and I don't care what your specific direction of race is...I care about the friends I have made, and I have made many from all walks of life...I am grateful for the folks I have met, and look forward to the ones I will meet...m

And Mike is also the flamingo king.

A couple of years ago Mike gave me a little rubber flamingo and it has been on our dashboard ever since. He or she (not Mike or Tracy) is all bent up (arthritis I think) and falls over a lot in the summer when she or he doesn't stay crammed between windshield and dashboard. The heat makes him or her fall asleep, maybe.

Naw, Gene, they have to stand on one leg a lot, and why that is I don't know, but it makes them awkward and unstable...hold onto it, though, as the firm we bought over 1600 from ceased production a little over two years ago...I think we're down to about 20...thanks for remembering...m

TB&Greg, just telling it like I see it, and how I think it should be, but I appreciate the comment...m

Hi Mike! I am the "Dollar Store Decor and More" Queen. (facebook)
Hope we can meet someday!

Can you post a picture of your silver thingie from the dollar store?

I might be able to help.

Should we be posting pictures of 'thingies', silver or otherwise?

Being an Airstream forum, one would think the posting of any and all "silver thingies" would be perfectly acceptable.

Have lost my ability(ok, ok, MEMORY) of how to post pics...the 'silver thingie' has about a 3" round base with stems sprouting vertically about 8"s above it...I have also seen them in red ...would make a cheap centerpiece, or, in my case, a pleasing reward...and, yes, I am easily pleased, and, yes, I, too, frequent the dollar stores almost as much as the thrift stores...m

Ah-ha! Me thinks it must be an appetizer tree. Stick some olives, cheese, or strawberries/melon balls on it and you'll be the hit of the party.

Gee, My silver thingie is not as elaborate, but it came first! Mine would not even to begin to support so much condiment(it can barely support its own verticals)...we are talking cheap, here, but it is a dollar store(might have been 'Nothing over 99 cents"). I DO like the presentation, and if I can get one for a buck, I'll probably get two(or five or so...)...m

Giving it a lot of thought "queen" is not it. I think fiqured it out... "southern belle" instead.

More pics

Hoping to see more pics of the FOD rally for those of us that couldn't make it this time. Still hoping we will be able to organize a rally in the Rockies in the next year...

It sounds like the food and libations were fabulous. (as if I'd expect anything less!)

Pictures, please!
