Aloha all!

I am just getting acquainted with this app. I am currently living and working in Hawaii. I am planning on retiring in two years (2025) and will be hitting the road for extended periods I hope. I do have “base camp” set up in East Tennessee (Pigeon Forge).

My travel buddy will be Gary when he has time to join up.

I hope to get to meet many of you in the near future! (Happy new year 1-1-2023!)

Been quite some time since I've posted to this Forum. Was quite active until Life and Health slowed things for me and the Airstream. Currently in NW part of Virginia, Airstream still located in Tampa Bay Florida. Hoping 2023 is the year I'm able to get the "SLVRDLDO" back on the road.

No idea if you've ever gone to Pigeon Forge area, it's nice if you want to be amongst you and 1000's of Tourists.....

I'm sorry to hear you've been slowed down and I'm also hopeful this year will be the year things turn around. I've been away from the forum for a while with some other priorities but I recall your picture and moniker from when I lived in Riverview. I would make trips to the campground at Fort DeSoto whenever I could get a reservation. That place fills up fast!

I moved to the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area in 2019 to build a place adjacent to my parents' home so that I can be present as they age. Zeuz (BearStreamerz) and I have been friends for years and he owns the property behind mine.

And you're absolutely right about the tourists! I remember when the parkway in Pigeon Forge was just a 2-lane road with no traffic lights. It's quite a different story today. But we manage with adjustments to our schedule and making use of the back roads.
