This is awesome!

Well Brad thanks to you I've squandered an hour and a half reading this entire posting. I'm on my 4th Airstream in 22 years of Airstreaming and a dyed in the wool aluminum addict! Thanks for this post!

My partner and I love our A/S and spend as much time as we can in it but it's never enough. It's always great to find other RV folks who are "family" but "Airstream Family" is GREAT!

I'm semi retired (34 years in law enforcement) but my partner (11 years younger than me) has some years go to. So I'm working part time just to stay busy. He's a school teacher so during the school year we don't go too much.

Suffice to say I'll be watching this closely and hope to join in on as many gatherings as we can and look forward to meeting as many FOD Airstreamers as possible!

Mike

P.S. I've attached a pic of our beach house, mountain cabin, desert get away and home away from home!

Sorry Mike!

These posts are fun to read, Ive met some great people on this site/thread and Air Forums in itself is a tad bit addicting. Nice pic and you have a great vacation home, ours is a bit smaller but we love it. I'm obsessed with it and Zell "likes" it but he's a good sport about it.

I wish we could come up with a good rally site but were all so spread out so maybe we will have to plan ahead and find an area we could all meet up at in the summer. Lots of areas have been thrown out there but I kind of like the idea of scheduling around a pride event but then your in a city environment vrs mountains or lake areas and I love to be where I have a view we live in Kansas! Enjoy the thread and the semi retirement (hate you ) and if you head East let us know.

Ha ha... a caravan in the St Petersburg (FL) parade with a big ruby slipper on top, ribbons flowing in the wind (reminiscent of the slipper on top of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert).... funny mental pic.

Kansas is fairly central and I do love the connection with the theme of the thread! We wil do our best to make if you pick a central location - still work for a living so can't take a ton of time off. ( working on that though - my partner is encouraging me to retire and take the airstream on the road camping and fly fishing.)

Hope to meet more of the forum folks soon! Happy new year!

Sandy

Ok here is a date and place that might work. August 5th-6th in Eureka Springs. They have a diversity weekend and it's a cool town. Lots of shops and Restaurants with a quirky but fun nightlife and tons of things to do. Here is a link.

Yay! Sounds great with the following events happening that weekend:

August 5-6
17th Annual Yards & Yards of Yard Sales. Yard sale bargains all around town. Maps will be available so you can find them all! For more information call 800-6EUREKA or visit Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce

August 5-7
Summer Diversity Weekend. For more information visit Diversity Pride Events or call 479-253-2555.

I think it will be a great place, and good time of the year, to join you there....

What does everyone else think?

Scott and I are in for the Diversity weekend. It's on our calendar. Whichever is the best campground is fine for us. Maybe if one that has full hook ups. (electric, sewer, water) lol
