Thanks Lynn! I think it would be fun to see what people come up with! We should have enough time to round up some good stuff.

White elephant is something tacky that you received as a gift or buy. It's pretty fun, and we have a couple things that we could bring. Is it June yet? I'm ready to go clamping.

I'm a "new to me" Airstream owner, and a Friend of Dorothy (single) and I live in the South.. I'd love to find a couple of rallies i could make. I don't mind a drive. My issue is I'm also a full time student... so could only make the closer rallies (if they happen) til I'm out of school.
It'd be nice to find enough interest on this side of the country to warrant a rally :0)

So you're taking summer school classes this year, I guess? This should be after the end of the Spring term. Hot Springs looks like an easy 2-day run from Cumming, GA. (That's easy for me to say, since it's 1 easy day from here. )

The cool thing is we have a 53 Flying Cloud that's going through a full restoration! I saw it last fall and all they had inside was the bed and finished interior walls. It was very cool to see and we can see the progress at this rally. So as long as its roadworthy don't worry about the interior, you might get some great ideas. There will be another restoration project there as well. I hope you can join us!

If it's road ready and you can make it, join us! Part of the fun of Airstream Rallies is seeing all of the different AS's in different phases of their "lives."
Besides, if we all see the before condition, we'll all be able to sit around talk about all the great work you've done to it in a few years.

Just a word of warning about what's in your future... it seems to me that the usual progression of this Vintage Airstream disease is that once you get one "as finished as you'd like" you stumble across another that that needs your love.
I'm still in the phase of getting everything I want in the first one. Our Argosy travels well and the work remaining is mostly cosmetic, but I often catch myself browsing the classifieds.

Just called Catherine's Landing to give them deposit info. We're planning on spending the night before and after our Hot Springs trip at Devil's Den State Park. The Park is just a few minutes south of Fayetteville and will make for an easy trip to Hot Springs. Looking forward to seeing everyone and making new friends.
