So I'm interested to know if something comes together for a pre-rally
I am thinking it is starting to sound like something is coming together. You need to bring some of your homemade wine and I will bring a few bootlegs as well. Maybe a wine and cheese per-rally stop. The Memphis route is a 100 miles longer but we stay off the secondary roads through MS and AR.

Dangerous? Well, we did run aground on the lake at last year's event. That was not nearly as exciting as the food and fun!

I've got a batch 2 weeks into process right now. Should be good by the rally.

Oh, man, I crack myself up.

In all seriousness...anyone coming from points east should check out Tom Sawyer's website and see about stopping in. It's clear from their pictures and videos that there are a lot of Airstream gatherings there. It looks cool as heck too that it's literally right on the river. I hope there's a lot of traffic when we're there. My kids will love it.

I guess we're going to need to polish up on our Mad Men. We have never watched the show so we have no idea how to prepare for the rally!

If watch the show you will be amazed by the consumption of alcohol, the amount and where people smoked. It's amazing anyone survived the late 50s and early 60s!!

Your kids will love Tom Sawyer's. the barges go up and down the river not far from your trailer. it is a fun place to sit and watch the river traffic.

Ironically I just started watching it on Netflix 10 days ago. It does make one feel god about their alcohol consumption... I am no where near their league!

I think Bermuda shorts and a classic Aloha or bowling shirt would be in the spirit of things! That's my plan anyway!!
