Had a great time but snuck out during the rain without saying our goodbyes! It was great seeing everyone!!

For those heading west out IH 30, detour off before exit 31, if possible. There is standstill (literally) traffic for 6 miles. I suspect it will take us at least an hour to get out of this.

Must be Sunday drivers. I-40 eastbound is a standstill too. Good thing we just stopped and ate lunch!

Thanks to all for a great rally. The trek to get there means we won't be able to make them all, but hopefully we can get to it again soon.

We had a blast as always!! Thanks again Brad and Zell, for all of your hard work and for bringing this great group together. So good to see everyone! Thanks to Charlie and Holly for bringing "it" as always. The Pussycat Lounge never fails to be a highlight of our trip! We look forward to seeing everyone next year!

It was a semi rolled over on HWy 30. Looked pretty bad, but traffic was moving. Couldn't understand how he flipped on that straight pass, unless he got a crosswind, fell asleep or passed out.

Anyway, we are on our way to drop Jan off in Columbia. Just passed Springfield a ways back. Wet puppies are dry and cozy and crashed out.

Thanks Brad & Zell for another great rally! Loved meeting new FOD's and seeing the usual gang! Safe journey to all!

We got lucky and didn't have any traffic issues and should roll in at 8 PM. Zell and I had a blast with y'all and really want to thank everyone for making the long journey to attend the rally. Also, many thanks to all of you who contributed the wonderful rally prizes and for all the help with the rally. Charlie and Holly...thanks for the hangover (not really but what a great party at the PC lounge). Stay tuned for next years rally...it will take a village.

We really enjoyed our unexpected weekend with everyone. This was a great first Airstream rally for us, and we look forward to the next one and next year.

BTW, we've already started searching for a good spare key hider!

Tom, Alisha, and Beth.

If I were the cussin' type, you'd be seeing a lot of 4 letter words right here.

On the bright side, looks like one more night of camping somewhere near Dallas for us tonight!

Omg. My biggest fear with only two wheels but we are glad your both ok. The same thing happened to one of our Air Midwest members who had Marathons on their way home from the Spring rally. Try and have a good night and maybe a nice glass of wine.

Brad and Zell. Thanks for all your hard work and planning. It was great to see everyone we met last year this time around. We are overnighting in Nocono Tx. Lots of rain, heavy traffic on 30, but we aren't in a hurry. It's just reining at home
Cheers

After a 4 hour ordeal and the kindness of some fellow Texans, we got back on the road.

My biggest lesson of the day was to always carry my own compressor. Who knew that wrecker trucks didn't have air on board?!?

And my gratitude for the day (Karen, this part is for you!!) after seeing 2 rollover accidents in 4 hours of driving: In the end, it was just a flat tire and I'm thankful that we're still silver side up.

We'll be back on the road in the a.m.

Already looking forward to next year's FOD rally. Brad and Zell, we've already got the team in place to handle the workload of planning it, but we'll likely need some guidance from you two!

Aluminum Under the Rainbow 4th Annual FOD Rally 2014

P.S. - a blowout has also been one of my worst fears having only 2 wheels too.

In this case, we could feel it happening. We were going around 60 mph and it felt like something was tugging on the engine. Honestly, I thought it was a mechanical issue. We pulled over quickly and the tire was completely shredded.

The worst part of the entire thing was that the tire went so quickly that I felt it left us I'm an incredibly vulnerable position on the side of the highway. I pulled the rug off best I could, we unloaded and camped out under a tree in someone's yard while getting the tire changed.

Well we are glad you both are ok and we are excited to share the fun of hosting the rally! It's going to be EPIC!
