I winterized on Sunday, in advance of this latest wild swing in the Texas weather... seems like a good choice, since it was in the mid 20s last night and scheduled to be down there again tonight!
I also just reserved a spot at Leisure Resort. We have site 25 for Friday-Sunday. So that's 4 reservations so far?

Yep! That makes 4 FOD Airforums members. Rumor has it that Steve/SoldierMedic will be there (work willing) and I have a couple of non-AS Austin friends that will probably join.

I invited a couple who've been members of our WBCCI unit about as long as I have, but just made their first event the weekend after Thanksgiving (where I met them.) They live in their trailer in Southlake, so it's about the same drive for them as for me, but they don't have to pack!

Well y'know... if you put it on your calendar now everything that comes up between now and then will just have to work around it.

So, what's the state of things? Any new attendees? We're just over 2 weeks out and I'm looking at the to-do list... I need to get the oil changed in the truck, etc. I'm hoping I can take the whole day off on Friday and get there at a reasonable hour on the 22nd!

David,
Right now, we sit at a solid 7 groups coming. Some Airstreamers, some not, some FOD, some not, some with kids, some not.
John and Charles, I don't have you on my list. Did you sign up? We'd love to have you there!

Sounds like a good set. John and Charles mentioned early on that this would be their first trip of the spring, then didn't say anything else for a while. So will they make an 8th group?
Are we starting with bbq on Friday night? After all, there are several well-reviewed bbq joints in the area, and only so many meals in a weekend!

I just called the CG and got an update. Here's where we are:
14
15
16
17
18
19
20 Jonny Hill
21 lcurrie - Lynn and Becky
22 Mellie Price - not on forums, not in an AS but we love her anyhoo.
23 Mike and Lucille Allen
24
25 David x 2 (DKB_SATX)
26 Frank & Mike
27 John Baker
28
In addition to the folks with reservations, I think Steve, Amy and Collin are still planning on coming, as are my neighbors. Both of those crews are dealing with other commitments but I'm guessing that, with this amazing winter we've been having, they'll show up.
I've told the Leisure Resort folks to go ahead and feel free to put other folks in the other spots if they want, so if you want to ensure you're with the group and river front and you haven't made a reservation, now is the time.
See everyone soon!

I plan to be there with Collin, but we are playing by ear. Amy is working that weekend.

Lynn,
I've gotta recheck traveling stuff but I think we are almost ready to roll!
Is there a pot-luck sign-up I missed? Just checking, John

If the weather is nice, how does everyone feel about pizzas on the grill on Friday night? I'll bring plenty of home-made pizza dough, sauce and mozzarella (not home-made) plus a small variety of toppings. We cane build a variety of pizzas and throw them on the grill.
Others can bring topping they like.
Thoughts?
Lynn
