I have a 2012 27' Classic . My draperies are discoloring i.e. white to brown. I am guessing that it is due to a chemical in the draperies ( starch ?) which are effected by the sun. I saw an old 1970's Airstream bus at Zion National Park a few years back whose draperies looked " burned" : brown and crispy . Can anyone address this issue for me or direct me to a thread which covers this issue in more detail ?
Do you know what a learning experience is? A learning experience is one of those things that says "You know that thing that you just did? Don't do that."
Hi Airtrekker We have the same trailer, a 2012 27 FB classic with the same issue. Gloria put the reflextive foil in behind the curtains to reflex heat and to protect the curtains. It has helped a great deal. Our trailer sits in the sun all year. We spends the summer in Eastern Washington and the winter in Arizona. Very important that we keep it as cool as possible and screen the curtains from the sun.
If we hear of any other way to protect them we will let you know.
