Polk Audio Remote and Satellite connection

We just picked up our 2017 Classic and in going through everything, I can't locate a remote control for the Polk Audio system. I would think there should be one? Anyone know for sure?

Also, is the satellite antenna coax in the box with the blue ray like the Flying Cloud?

Many thanks!

We didnt receive a remote for our Polk either, but I dont know if there is supposed to be one. Is there mention of a remote in the Polk manual? I will look for my manual tomorrow unless someone else confirms this sooner.

Not sure what you mean regarding the satellite coax. If you are asking about the sat coax input, it is on the exterior street side under the same lid as the cable tv coax input - ie, just above the 50amp port. But I have a feeling, thats not what you were asking......

Happy Trails,

Unless something has changed drastically, they do not make a wireless remote for this particular unit. There is (however), a wired remote that you can install. (There's an available plug-in for it in the mass of wires that go from the head unit into the A-V area where your DVD player is located. I purchased enough cable to run this remote to the sofa area -- it controls everything including volume. I built a small box for the remote and it sits on the armrest. I found the lack of a remote a PITA when watching TV and routing sound through the audio system. (Sorry the photo is sideways, but you get the idea!)

Great news, after a little more digging I found that there is an app available, it is called Ultramarine, works on my iPad and iPhone and I believe is available for android os. Just connect via Bluetooth and it works great.

BAB, that is a very nice remote you crafted!

I am looking for the internal coax which would go to my satellite receiver. We are camping this weekend so I will do a little more looking.

Thanks for posting your experiences with the Polk app. We're picking up our 2017 Classic in a couple of weeks and I had already downloaded the app on my iPhone and iPad. I'm very happy to read your comments that it works great. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks again!

I have a 2016 Pendleton that came with the Polk Ultramarine and the SiriusXM antenna was mounted on the roof at the factory. To use it you need to sign up for SiriusXM and get an access code to enter into the main unit. I'm not a big fan of the App... maybe they'll have an upgrade in the future.

Don't look back, you're not headed there anyway
