I'll give you a sneak peek of one of the mods on my '17
Much has been written about the new Alde hot water/heating system and it's issues. Airstream recently added a new mixing valve to help with longer showers.
My dealer; CanAm in London, ON (best RV dealer....seriously folks...the best) found that the single lever shower faucet was causing problems. Remember that the single lever controls pressure (not really...on or off) and temperature.
They replaced the stock valve with a Grohe 2 valve (one valve for pressure; the other for temperature [thermostatically controlled]).
The lead technician working on my RV called to let me know this afternoon; that with propane only, shower at full pressure with a good hot temperature selected; lasted 5.5 minutes.
For me that's fine. I regularly thumb switch-off the shower head when soaping/lathering. Plus when adding the electric elements to the mix; hot water should be plentiful.
I'll be posting pics; maybe even a video of all the mods.

Great Info, please keep it coming. I was told the 3 port roof cap for solar was only wired with 10 gage wire, no where enough for all the watts you can add to that port. Can you ask Can Am about that.

I can second the comment on CanAm. Super people to deal with and their service is excellent.

I can support that as well. A few weeks ago we arrived just after closing. Our trailer was plugged in and out front for us to use. Andy T came out a few minutes later and rather than wishing us a good night, re-opened, sorted the bill, decided our hitch needed adjusting so opened the shop and did the work all while being gracious and as excited as ever about towing and Airstreams. It let us get on our way without delay. Fantastic people.

Wow!!! is that a beauty. Hope you have many safe miles. If you can find the time can you give some reviews of the new features, the aldi system, the legs, the new unit controller. Love your colors. How do you like the flat panels you installed, how many watts, battery system. I can go on forever. Thanks for doing this.

I had similar panels on my '15; these are 120w each x 3
There are 6 Lifeline group 27s; 2 in the battery storage box and 4 under the bed; a 2000w inverter is also installed under the bed which when activated powers the whole RV (not just select outlets like Airstream's factory option); actually ran the front 15k AC unit on it for 15 minutes before I got nervous and shut it down

Did CamAm install the TV dish? What provider do you use?

Yes CanAm did install the dish. If you look carefully at the pic showing the satellite you'll see they installed a piece of aluminum for the ball to roll on so it wouldn't mark the roof in its resting position.
I went with DirecTV as I already have an account with them. Works perfectly!!

The jacks look interesting. Is that a full strength leveling system? Mind telling how much something like that costs?
