Low point drains in 2012

We have had some trouble with low point drains and now understand that there is a fix. Has anyone else had trouble with these?

Low point drains, DO NOT completely drain the system.

But, if you apply an adequate supply of air to the city water hose inlet, then properly used, the low point drains serve their purpose.

To amplify Andy's comments, you can purge the lines much more effectively using compressed air. You'll need to purge each fixture by openning the valves, one at a time. The last ones to do are the drains; you may need to go around the fixtures twice. It's pretty obvious when all the water is out since there's nothing but hissing w/o any spitting.

Of course, make sure to regulate the air pressure down to a reasonable level.

thanks to both of you but the problem is not blowing out the lines it is that the points themselves. One fell off and after it was repaired it became loose again. It is doing it again and the dealer told us that airstream knows about the problem and may have a fix. Just wondering if you have had the same issue.
