Centramatic vendor?

OK I'm convinced to install the Centramatics. I'm confused as to where they can be purchased. I would appreciate recommendations on where to purchase the Centramatics for my Classic 30.

Thanks,

Thumbs up

Ron,

I ordered mine directly from the Factory.

I would call to confirm part numbers...mine are stamped 200-204 which is different than whats listed on the website.

3x direct from centramatic. I ordered mine on Wednesday will arrive on Monday. friendly folks on the phone answered my questions and told me to please call them if I had any questions. Nice to deal with small business that answers the phone and seems to care about their customers

I ordered mine from InlandRV. Andy who is a frequent poster on the forums gives great advice contributes quite a bit. I thought it would be good to repay a bit of the advice he has been dispensing by ordering from them.

I just placed an order straight from the factory too. Model 300-356 which is for 16 inch wheels.

Another vote for Andy or direct from the factory. For 15 inch wheels the part # is 200-221 Special. The "Special" is part of the Part number.

We have bought two sets of Centramatics over the years. I bought a set from Irv at Inland in 2009. I more recently bought a set for New Lucy directly from Centramatic in Alvarado, Texas.

You don't have to balance your running gear...

-Red, theoretically, naturally...

They keep the trailer wheels balanced. This improves tire wear significantly. We had a 2005 Safari 25FB. We had 16" Michelins on that Airstream. When we traded her, she had 60,000 miles on those tires with no noticeable tire wear.

Centramatic vendor?

Me either. It's why I bought the Centramatics. I had never thought of balancing the hubs until I started reading about it here. And when I got my new axles, I just bought the Centramatics on Inland Andy's advice. So, I say theoretically, because I'm not running without them to test out whether they do anything or not. If you watch the video they have on them, it's pretty convincing. And I was serious about the Michelins...

-Red, balanced by science...

All I can base my opinion on is the 60,000 miles that Old Lucy did with the Centramatics with no visible tire wear.

That's a bunch of miles on a set of tires... If I can ever get where we drag this thing around more often, I've got to go that route...

-Red, mostly stagnant lately...

To clarify the model for 16" wheels, the Centramatic part number is "300-356 all "A" plates". The version for the Airstream 15" wheels is "200-221 Special".

The model for the 16" wheels is a larger diameter and has larger rim tube with more balancing fluid in it.

The smaller model for the 15" wheels will fit on 16" wheels, but due to smaller diameter and less balancing fluid will not be as effective as the larger size.
