Sports (including a British model with grab handles, surge brakes, galvanized frame, small wheels, different lights and reflectors, foam and luan floors), some Internationals, some Flying Clouds, some Eddie Bauers- nothing over 27'.

I have been at the factory this week getting some warranty work done. On the Monday tour there was one Classic at the end of the line. Got to look in the guarded door for 10 seconds before they shut it, hooked to the tug and took it out to the lot for delivery. Didn't see any others starting anyplace else on the line. Watched for cabinets etc in the various build areas and nothing spotted. Did see a Land Yacht just starting down the final line at the first stop for flooring. Flooring was still on the table at that end of the final assembly/Cabinet line.

Sorry I was going to look at the build tag to see where it was going but it had already been removed as part of the final inspection.

Quick facts, producing 50 per week, average of 5 days of building time so them move through pretty quick. 25 and 27 models most popular with 25 ahead. They now do a tour through the Interstate build line. I think that number is 15 per week but I might have misheard.

I looked closely at the new ducted air parts and install. The plans I saw and asking the duct builder if you have two A/C units while you still have 'zone' controls on the controller air/heat flows the entire length of the ducts. There is no bulkhead in the ducts to really give you zone control temperature. That's my read of what I saw and heard but there were folks talking about one temp in the front and one in the back and that doesn't appear to be something that would work with the new design.

I want to see the 2015 in person but from the video I am not liking the Cherry and lack of storage. Also I find the cutlery drawer under the sink beside the garbage a bit strange. For me its a deal breaker.

You guys got me nervous now, I was told my Classic would be built Oct 2 -9. Hope we don't get a delay. Already making camping reservations starting end of October.

Firedog1, I too have made plans, the units may be late arriving, however, I do think they will be worth the wait. I have no regrets about my order, and personally, I'm sure I will have some minor issues, but I think i will be 100% satisfied with my decision. I'm thinking you will too :-) hang in there.

I'm still here. Should I take the tour again and look for your trailer?

Colonial Airstream received a 2015 Classic this week, and posted some new pictures.

I'm a little disappointed that the Classic doesn't have the exterior blue stripe anymore.
Any thoughts?

I did like a looks of the new Classic, but compared to the older Classic 30 that we have, I do think that for us, the Classic 30 layout is better than the Classic 31.

Seems they will no longer offer this?

In fact when we bought ours (used), the dealer had a 31 and 30 next to each other at the same price. We took several hours studying each in detail and opted for the 30 layout and in hindsight are still glad we went that way.

At first it seemed odd seeing the toilet out in the open when you walk through the trailer, but we have found that we like very much the large bathroom that it creates.

I think that the main thing that would turn us off buying a new one is what appears to be a significant reduction in storage space compared to what we have.

The panoramic windows in the bedroom would do nothing for us other than cause us to loose the shirt cupboards! We are only in the bedroom when it is dark anyway. I gather some folk find that the somewhat closed in feeling due to the cabinetry gives them a claustrophobic feeling and so prefer the panoramic windows. I can understand that, but in fact I find the closed in feeling sort of comforting & cosy - like being in the cabin of a boat or a railway car bedroom!

As well, while the footrests in the lounge are nice that like a lot of storage lost. We carry a small coffee table (cut down wooden tv table) and if I want to put my feet a cushion an that serves fine.

It looks as though the two fold out tables in from are gone too? (not sure) we use those often for laptops.

I think I would miss the credenza too it is a good spot for the tv - and again, adds quite a bit of storage space.

Oh well, we will see what 2016 brings!

There are 2 of these covers. One is the potable water fill cover. I don't know what the other one is unless they changed where you hook up to city water.

The power and cable now come into the trailer in the middle near the dinette instead of at the back. The access hatch to the storage under the dinette is much smaller.

I don't know what this is. Maybe the city water comes into the trailer at a different location.

The 6"x6" stainless steel doors on both sides of the trailer house the power stabilizer buttons. The water fill door is still in the same place as before; the curb side.
What you think is an access storage door to the left of the power inlet is actually the outside shower.
Hope this clears things up for you.

I have one on order so I spend 24 hours a day searching the Internet on anything about the new Classic.
I'm so tired!

I watched the video captioned above and was really amazed at the tremendous loss of storage in the 2015 model as compared to our 2014 Classic. It also felt very dark despite the windows.

It seems more like an significantly more expensive Internal 30'.

What came before is here again......

Never thought I'd have anything in common with a new Classic but....

The awning material is the same as original equipment on my '01 16' Bambi. Really like the Marinco SS power inlet. Added that a long time ago.
