Smile 2015 Classic - Owners' Thread

waiting on my new Classic, dealer advised 2 week delay. Was going on the line October 2. Now they say October 16. Anyone take delivery yet? Comments? Anything to look for at delivery? Do I sound excited?

I remember when you took a tour of my 2013 Classic and were considering purchasing a 2014 Classic.
You went beyond that!
Hang in there. It will be here before you know it.
Remember PharmGeek's wait?

Beautiful Airstream, if they make a Classic 27 with real seating the could hook us some day. You know what to look for, loose or poorly assembled equipment and any transit/dealership damage. Take some time before closing the deal to inspect it well inside and out, power up and try all equipment you can, have a notebook, and get any problems fixed before heading home.

Actually, I enjoy my trailer much more after the "punch list" items were corrected at the mother ship. That whole experience was out of this world.
I posted pictures of a 2015 Classic in production on another thread. Never determined whose trailer that was.

M.Hony, now that I think of it, you cost me a bundle. I was ok with my 2005 Classic. Then my wife did a tour of your trailer at Canopener last year. Rest is history. See you down the road. Hey, Doug, Thanks for your advise also.

Saweet...last year I think mine was a 2 week delay from the original estimated date.

I think it had to set on the dealer lot for another 2-3 weeks after that though because of my schedule....

See you at canopener with you new fancy rig! Enjoy

I thought you were gonna get a 2014!
I didn't influence you to get a 2015!

I feel your pain.

I ordered the beginning of June. My unit supposedly went into production last Friday. It will take at least another week to deliver to my dealer in Spokane. Then the dealer needs 1&1/2 weeks to prep, install propride hitch, and install satellite dish.

So if all goes well, I will heading to Spokane (2200 mile roundtrip) in 3 weeks to pick up my trailer.

Firedog1, be ready for the lines of people who will want to see your new trailer during the open house at the upcoming Canopener. Maybe charge admission? Russ

Hey Ron, thanks for the info on when you placed your order, I placed my order at the end of June, then my parents ordered one the next week, We as our dealer to have them shipped together, so I'm sure that has a lot to do with our delay. But we are still hopeful they may arrive early. The dealer did tell us they rarely ship two Classic's together. We did tell him that we would take delivery of the units at the same time, and he agreeded. I think the transition will be easer for me than my parents, they are use to traveling in a 42" MH, but had an Airstream when I was a child, and now they are returning. I'm just upgrading to the Elite Catagory. 🎉🎉🎉

Took delivery on Oct 18th. My wife loves the trailer but there are some draw backs. Storage is about 1/3 less. We are taking it out this week for its maiden voyage and will have more to say after some practical use. We added a rear door to the bedroom which I think we are going to like. Our daughter goes to sleep early on the couch & this way we won't bother here going in & out.

Yes, good luck. Our trailer was originally suppose to be in by end of July & then Aug & then Sept, so it has been a long haul.

Disappointing Day today, Thought we were picking up our new (paid in full) 2015 Classic at Tampa RV. On arrival we were advised of another delay, something to do with Cherry Cabinet doors, Not sure. Guess we need to start canceling our premium camping reservations we had starting this Saturday. Who Knew? I wish someone could tell me when exactly the unit will be delivered. Tampa RV ? Clueless...

That blows! Have you talked with Jackson Center? 3 months delay? Paid in full already???? Ugh! That's not right!
