That factory expansion must have allowed them to spread out. Seems like it was way more tight and cluttered in September 2014-

It appeared to be the next one out the door so, maybe it will not be too long. I was able to look at it, but they would not let me take a picture. However here is one of the other Classic getting checked for leaks, and one of the production line for everyone else.Attachment 244191Attachment 244192

Mine has macadamia leather and sandalwood corian. Did the one you looked at have that color combo? If so, that is my unit!

SJCJR,

Sorry the one almost out the door had Chestnut and Sandelwood, the one in the picture going through the Rain Tunnel must have been yours. That's cool at least you have a picture of it getting checked for leakes.

In case you were curious, yes, there is room for a larger TV in the bedroom. The little 24" Samsung just didn't cut it. Today, I installed a 28" Vizio (eliminates the remote control conflict with two Samsungs), and it works great. In order to get it to fit correctly, I did need to move the mount over about 1 1/2" to the left. I also dropped it down about an inch so it wouldn't cover the remote for the Polk audio. The TV was around $185 at Costco. As you can see, it fits perfectly -- edge of doorway right to the window valance. I am really amazed at how versatile the new Classic is for modifications.

Also curious if the power stabilizers also act as levelers. or are they still just stabilizers. Being that they are powered I thought perhaps they might assist in leveling the trailer.

Sometimes the power stabilizers are the same stabilizers but with push buttons and an electric motor turning them instead of you turning them with a crank-

Not to be used as levelers, once you get your unit level, then you extend them for stability.

Hey SJCJR, looks like your unit passed the water test. The now have it parked outside awaiting inside furnishings, sorry the picture is not so good but at least you will have some.

The power stabilizers on the Classic are one piece units from Lippert Components. LCI Power Stabilizer. Motor is on one end and has some type of torque sensor that stops the motor in up or down travel when it gets resistance.

Will do. Ron is a great guy and a wonderful person with whom to do business. I'm extremely lucky to have Foley RV and Ron within an hour's drive from my home. PS---I thought you indicated the one almost out the door had chestnut interior? Mine is macadamia.
Shoot me a PM with your cell and I will call to chat. Thx.

You are correct on all accounts with Ron and Foley

The one at the door was chestnut (the darker leather) the only other one here is the one I sent you a picture of in the rain tunnel and parked outside, it has no furniture inside best I can tell.

I've been at the factory getting some warranty work done. Nothing major but since I had to come back to Ohio for a family thing it was convenient.

Update on the factory. The new building is in full swing. They are still making some adjustments, basically moving stuff from the south to the north.

Significant improvements in space and flow. They now run two digital sheet metal cutters and two automated wood panel cutting machines.

There are now three spray bays.

The final assembly line is currently one single line with the trailers side by side on dollys for the wheels. Second line soon after more movement and re-arranging.

And lastly since this is the Classic thread I saw 5 2016 Classics in various stages of build, from ready to go out the door to just out of the water bays.

If our Classic is due to be delivered 11/6, do you know approximately when assembly would begin? That is, how long does it take to make a Classic?

You can ask the dealer for the start date based upon the last six digits of your VIN number. I would think it would be mid October and delivery would take a couple of days.

The hotshots that bring the big (25' and longer) trailers from Jackson Center to the selling dealership, drive like bats out of .... and no grass grows under their wheels. They run at or over the speed limits.

I was at the factory every work day on the tour for several weeks and photoed the build progress of our 2014 Classic. A blizzard delayed the whole process in early January 2014.

One needs to really INSPECT everything before writing the final check. We had cracked interior walls, damaged door trim, damaged hinges, damaged light fixtures, QC issues pointed out in both writing and photos at the factory that weren't repaired before it's departure etc.

For many reasons, our dealer was not the facility we wanted to do the repairs. We went to a third party authorized to preform warranty work. The major difference is they used the appropriate parts for repairs. As an example, they did not replace broken cheap plastic catches with new cheap plastic catches. Instead they used brass catches which are better than factory.

Once the bugs are ironed out, enjoy.

Our Classic is due in production Nov 16; reading this thread gets us both so excited about our first AS! Bought ours from Ron at Foley; comments in this and other threads led us to him. Only contact to date has been via telephone, but we definitely get a sense of comfort from his knowledge and advice. Met two people just last evening (at our first WBCCI rally) who bought from Ron. He (Ron) is an evident example of how important it is to consistently deliver high quality customer service.

Anyway, we are jealous of you more fortunate souls who already have your AS!
