Yes, we have the ivory leather & the light counters & we like it. Our friends have the same counter tops with the darker leather & it is also very nice. Do not think you can make a mistake either way.

Good luck on your new trailer.

We went with the dark leather and light counter tops as well thinking of grandkids. Honestly, would have done it regardless as I think it is beautiful! Can't wait for ours to come off the line.

For those who do not understand you do have a invertor to make 120 volts that will run a drill. NO battery power you say that use the cable and get a hand crank. Their are several ways to open and close the awning. Also get the remote. Nothing better than coming up to your home in a storm and being able to open the awning enough so you can get in without bringing in the storm with you.
What is the cost for the remote control?

bobcat, would you be willing to post a photo of your light/light configuration? I'm sold on the ivory ultraleather, but still up in the air about the countertops.

I'm afraid that the black countertops will be hard to keep clean (fingerprints?) but they do look good. I'd like the interior to be as bright and light as possible, so am considering the light countertops, but not sure if I'll like the look as much.

I was sold on the dark leather and light counter tops but alas I changed the counter tops to the dark. Seemed to be a little more richer. Plenty of windows on Airstreams to lighten things up. Sometimes you just have to flip a coin. All the combinations look good.

Does anyone know the name of the makers of the original recliners that Airstream used?

I was just informed by my dealer that the production of my 2016 classic, which was online, was halted because airstream was waiting on parts. Bummer!

Gosh, I'd hoped that what we went through last year wouldn't happen to the '16's. I can tell you, though, that the wait is definitely worth it. After around 30 nights in my '15 since early June, this is one really awesome way to travel!

I am surprised as well that there are still delays. I know you are bummed - we were too, but as Bab said...definitely worth the wait. We went from the Eddie Bauer 27' to the Classic and the comfort level in the Classic is unbelievable! We have spent a little over 5 weeks in ours, made a reservation for a long weekend and had to cancel because our tow vehicle was in a little fender bender (actually more than a fender bender) and now are planning to leave Saturday for another week. I can't wait!! I know you will LOVE it!

I am Ohio for an appt. at Jackson Center (08.03.15) want me to ask about delays and report back? I'm only here for maintenance and some warranty issues, nothing big, I don't mind. You will love your unit once you have delivery, they are nice.

Bettlebob, we have a couple of trips planned, but I might have to come check out Clearwater RV Resort! As far as Ocala is concerned...not real familiar with campgrounds or boondocking there, but there should be some in the Ocala National Forest. RV tech? I hope that means you will be working on Airstreams! Thanks for the invite and I will definitely let you know if we are able to come that way! Sounds like fun!

SJCJR,

I spent the afternoon at the Factory, only two 2016 Classic's there, One was going through the Rain Tunnel, and the other was almost finished. I had the Chestnut color ultra lether, but no cabinets, and I understand that is the hold up. They could not give me a delivery time. It appeared to be the next one out the door so, maybe it will not be too long. I was able to look at it, but they would not let me take a picture. However here is one of the other Classic getting checked for leaks, and one of the production line for everyone else.Click image for larger version
