Thanks so much for the response. I was pretty sure it was like my 2006 25ft Safari I had but the way the light shined behind the curtain it appeared to be somewhat see through. Thanks again for the responses.

New Options!

I was just informed by my Dealer that AS is going to start offering a twin bed option on the new classic in March, for those of you interested - not me, also heard that they were going to offer the no oven with drawers option also, like other models. The one option that I keep hoping for and haven't heard anything on, is a shirt closet option. Thats the one i'm waiting for.

Already changed my order to the twins. AS had a twin Classic at the RVIA show, dealer show, first week of December in Louisville. Duke it might have the shirt closet....

Did you hear anything about shirt closets?

The 2014 and earlier models had a roof locker above both bedroom side windows and a shirt hanging closet above the foot of each bed.

If we knew then what we know now....

The Airstream drawing for the mattress reflects the wood the mattress rests on. We would have made the mattress 4" longer so it fitted against the curve an the back of the trailer and still reached to the squared off part of the board at the foot of the mattress. We went with 8" mattresses but could have gone with 10". That choice would required ordering custom sheets from a different vendor than Airstream. Airstream mattresses were 7" and their sheets were huge but fitted well on the 8" custom mattresses we installed.

It would have been possible to make the twin bed mattresses nearly 12" longer than the drawing shows for really tall folks. Not an issues for us a 5' 5" and shorter.

Oven Delete!

I just confirmed with my Dealer that the oven delete with drawers is going to be an available option early next year. I am glad I waited on my Classic, as with everything new, they always seem to offer more options as they go along. I don't personally see the need for two ovens, my Wife would rather have two more drawers. I also made sure that you get to keep the new deluxe stove top and cover. Who knows what they may offer next, before I get mine in April?

The 2015 Classic twin has the same setup as earlier twin Classics, shirt closet and one hanging cabinet on each side.

We have been waiting to find out about the twin beds. We were told back in October by an Airstream exec that they were going to offer the twin beds, so I've been anxious to see a new revised floor plan. Having such a difficult time trying to make the decision, but having the twin beds sure open up a lot of space - especially for dressing and undressing. Not sure I'm ready for the Desi- Lucy twin bed setup, but having the extra space is certainly something we are thinking about.

To clarify, the cabinet above the foot of each of the twin beds are the shirt length closets. The two roof lockers above the window on each side coupled with the rear roof locker gives lots of storage. The street side half of the rear roof locker has the AC circuit breaker panel on our 2014 model 30 Classic which uses about 40% of the available space.

Half of the storage space under each twin bed is accessible as inside storage and the other half has an external access hatch. The rear access hatch uses the space under the night stand and the head of the twin beds. The street side of the rear storage has access to the incoming power connections.

Our extensive rewiring for the solar system included a new main power breaker panel in the street side storage compartment and retained the original power panel as a circuit breaker sub-panel. We installed GFI power outlets in the rear and street side storage areas as well as the water central for a heat tape or light bulb as that water connection compartment is unheated.

The twin bed option was a no charge option for the three 2014 Classic models.

I would rather keep the oven and delete the microwave. Will this be an available option? And would an owner of the 2015 Classic please post the inside dimensions of the oven? I am trying to decide which baking vessels I have that will fit. Thank you.

Here are the factory drawings for the twin beds in our 2014 Classic model 30 (I was told also for the Flying Cloud).

If our mattresses were about 4" longer, then the mattress radius could be against the rear of the trailer and still cover the board the mattress rests upon at the square end. The 4" gap in the curve is a issue for making the pillows look proper when beds are made.

One could extend 8' to 10" over the stock length for really tall folks in our 2014 Classic.

In the Flying Cloud twin bed models, one would need to double check measurements for longer mattresses.

We could have had 10" thick mattresses instead of the 8" we ordered and been level with the top of the center night stand.

The sheets offered by the Airstream store nicely fit our 8" mattress (both the 25FB queen and the Classic twins) and were a very loose fit on the stock 7" 25FB mattress. We had the trailer leave the factory without the factory mattresses as we had the replacements on order.

If we live long enough, we would order 10" thick twin mattresses 4" longer and the sheets to fit. Our vendor of choice is Rocky Mountain Mattress.

We ended up with the stock microwave along with the propane oven. The design of the microwave cabinet would allow replacing the microwave with a custom slide-in set of drawers if the wife desires that modification.

For those of you interested, I just found a youtube video of the 2015 Classic with twin beds. Tons of storage! I'm not tech savvy enough to post the link, but it's easy to find!

Finally someone posted a video from the RVIA show. This also has the dark couches and the light counters.

Looked at the video a bit more closely. According to Eric from Haydocy the twins are also power tilt like the queen setup.

Also notice that the AC/Heat Pump vents are directional with shutoffs. Screen grab:

I am glad to finally see that interior color in a video. That's what I have ordered and I am "digging it!" I also deleted the oven for the drawers, I think my Wife will like the two extra drawers. Didn't go for the twins, we aren't ready for that yet. I think that the front TV is a 32" not a 28", Samsung doesn't make a 28" to my knowledge?

Yep! I'm digging it too!! We are going with this one completely the way it is here - no oven for the extra drawers, the decor and the twin beds. Really, really hate going with twin beds, but will certainly love all of the extra storage. We can always visit one another )))
