Photo load failed. It was too dark anyway, except for the bright sign in the background. Might have to peak at a 15 in the morning. Jim

When we picked up our '15 a month ago they only had one other in stock...a 27' EB. Do they have others now?

New Air Streamer!
Hello Everyone. I just purchased my first Airstream today! Placed an order for a new 2015 Classic with all two options - power awning and solar package. I ordered the new chestnut color and the dark sky corian. I have owned several RV's over the past 25 years but never an Airstream. For nearly $130,000.00 I hope they are as good as people say? I am supposed to take delivery around the first of April. Don't really need it before then. I'll be listening to all you first owners till then to see how many bugs they get worked out before I get mine.

Welcome aboard 'Duke, good for you.
Airstreams have some unique inspection and maintenance requirements if you want to keep them up and prevent problems. Here's a good thread to read while you wait and some suggestions on preventive maintenance and products to help you take good care of your Airstream.
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/...on-126056.html
This is over and above Airstream's recommendations, which are not adequate.

Congratulations Duke!! Very exciting time for you! I think you will love the airstream especially the new Classic! I have been dying to see what the chestnut was going to look like. Where were you able to preview this color combination? Also do you or anyone know if the new models come with the new antenna that doesn't have to be raised or aimed? We saw one on a new Airstream but weren't able to get any information. Color me green!

I got my part and JW showed me a 15. I am 6'2" when I get up in the morning (little closer to grade at night) so have a reasonable view of the roof. I had to work real hard to see the hump. It has no negative consequence and once you can actually notice it, seems to add a small touch of femininity to the Airstream, sort of like the graceful lines on a classic Jaguar. I like the refreshed design and would buy a new Classic in a flash if I wasn't so pleased with my Signature/Jeep combination.
Very happy for those who have a new one coming. Looks like a home run for Airstream. Jim

Congratulations. Personally I think you made a good choice. Most folks on this thread have an order awaiting deliver.

Wow good for you, I know you will love it. Your delivery beat mine by a few weeks. Post pictures! Oh and show off your new unit at Canopenner. We will be on the gulf coast but not attending, we may drive over and visit everyone, depending on our schedule.
Enjoy!!

A big ol Thank You to everyone for the warm welcomes. I saw a picture of the Chestnut color on the Airstream website, although not in a trailer. My Dealer told me that it was going to be available a little later. They have not actualy built one yet. He said that we have plenty of time to change if we don't like it once we see it. It has been my experience that leather with a little more color doesn't show wear and tear quite as bad. As for the antenna, all the Classics come with the round fixed 360 degree HD type. I think that is the way to go. I have seen a lot of these on newer Motorhomes.

Can you post the link where you saw the Chestnut color? Haven't been able to find it on the AS site.

Remax when I did my order about 5 weeks ago they were into the end of February. I also picked April. Less chance of hitting winter weather driving from NJ to Colorado. Last pickup was in early March last year and hit blizzard conditions on one stretch. Don't want to do that again and removing mag chloride. Got it off within a day at a Blue Beacon truck wash.

I thought that might be your answer! Thanks, I sure appreciate it! They are the prettiest things! We currently have a 2014 Eddie Bauer, but are seriously thinking of trading for the 2015 Classic! We are just not using the Eddie for hauling the things we thought we would and absolutely fell in love with the Classic! Appreciate your information!

We took new Classic out over the weekend & it went well. Some bugs to work out but nothing out of the norm. I too have solar, but after market version the dealer offer. I have a 150 & 100 amp panel on the roof. The factory is only 100 amp but does come with the gam batteries. The after market ran me $2900 extra and I believe is a better set up & value (do your research). Good luck on your new purchase. The antenna does not have to be raised. On our outing my neighbor at the park was able to get reception because he could move his antenna & I was not. Frustrating!

Don't worry, I like stalkers. I still have a beautiful wife that works, so we are limited as to how much we can travel. We also have some winter weather here on occasion so we are basically through until next spring when we are planning a month long trip out West. I like to order all my toys so they are Factory Fresh when I get them. There is no need to get the trailer until spring so it won't be setting around in the weather. April is about the time we first start camping and usually stop sometime in October, depending on the weather.
