We have traded our 2015 30ft flying cloud for a 2016 30 ft classic. The classic was ordered on April 15. We are told that the factory will ramp up production of the classic in early June and we might have our unit by late June or early July. Is this reasonable or should we prepare for a longer wait? As many of you know the waiting game is AGONIZING!

Meanwhile, back to work, which stands in the way of fun...

They've been telling people for years it was 110. I will be at the factory tomorrow afternoon and will check with the powers that be in person and will let you know what the shop people who do the work say it is.

Has anyone gotten guidance from the factory on cleaning the floor carpet and how best to clean any dirt like handprints off of the window/wall covering?

Gary, the floor covering is all synthetic and is regularly used on large (and expensive!) boats. It seems impervious to spills, and vacuums easily. I think you could use about any solvent (except maybe acetone or MEK) depending on the spill. I can tell you that red wine comes up with a sponge. (Don't ask.) In terms of the window surrounds, I got a greasy palm print on the one by the door. It came right off with some "Dawn" that I use for dishes. I guess I didn't get the "new" owners manual either! The 2015 and 2016 Classic owners manuals can be downloaded from the Airstream site.

Al, thanks. The manuals weren't on the site last week. Wonder if they will send out a printed version?

Gotta love consistency. The 'new' manual says 110# on the torque yet we have seen a sticker and two of us have been told by factory support 125-135#.

Have no idea. I'm at JC so maybe I can find someone to ask tomorrow. Also need to check with the people in the shop and see what they say the correct torque is for the 16" aluminum wheels.

We don't have a new Classic but we do have the 16" Sendel wheels. When we were at Jackson Center for wheel bearing runout check, they torqued ours to 110.

Where is the 125-135 coming from? Is that a maximum specification for the Sendel wheel, or is that the recommended torque by Airstream when installed on their trailers? It looks like Airstream is recommending 110?
