Scooter, I ordered the stainless 120V cover from West Marine. It's Model #356436, 15A Outlet Cover, price is a steep $64.99.

Jayseejay: the cover comes with a high quality rubber gasket...I am going to "outline" it with some aluminum colored Parrbond, just to be on the safe side.

Marinco makes good stuff, meant to survive harsh marine (salt) environments. I use their products with my sailboat. You'll be pleased.

Sorry to change the subject, but I have a quick question for currrent 2015 Classic owners. Do both front and rear Air Conditioners share a common duct system or is there a separate duct system for each A/C? My reason for asking is if there is only 1 shared duct system then I can use a more readily available 30 amp outlet in campgrounds and still run the smaller A/C on days when both systems are not needed.

They use the same duct work in my unit, it's shared by both A/C units.

....Sharing the same ductwork seems to be a real plus. We were at a rally last weekend and had to use the front unit for heat pump purposes (BTW, a 30 AMP service). The BR of the trailer was nice and cozy. I'm guessing that in the heat of summer it might prove a different scenario, though my 28' Intl did fine at night with just the front A/C. in the daytime, though, the rear of the trailer was insufferable without the 2d A/C running. This -- of course -- was pre ducted air. I do not expect my Classic to be much different in a hot, humid daytime environment. Sun beating on the aluminum -- even with awnings down and shades darkened still requires maximum cool air.

Remax Gal, Im here at the mother ship now. Think I saw your unit on the line. They also have 2 new classics in the lot waiting on transport. I am so happy I came here for my warranty issues. Everyone extremely helpful and friendly. I will never have anyone else service my trailer.

I second that emotion!
Only Jackson Center will ever service my trailer.

Converter/Charger
What converter/charger comes in the 2015 Airstream Classic? We are purchasing a unit that has sat on the showroom floor, obviously hooked up. I am wondering about the condition of the batteries.

Same model they have had for years that many folks replace. I would ask for new batteries on any trailer that had been in stock for more than a few months.

Recommended Converter/Charger?
I had changed my converter/charger in my 2004 Airstream, and it worked great. So I guess I will plan on changing out the converter in the new unit as soon as I can. What unit would someone recommend to replace the original with? And how would I determine if the batteries would need replaced in the new unit? The batteries in the new Airstream are Lifeline AGM group 27's and I am not certain on the length of time the trailer has sat at the dealer, but obviously not "months".
thanks as always for the help
Rod

Pagey, our trailer is sitting - all meat and no potatoes. Delay in the cabinets. It is built and has the awnings, but nothing on the inside. Hopefully I will get an update Monday, but thought I would let you know. So sad. Trying to make plans, but they sure don't make it easy! I still love 'em though!
