Duke...I am beyond Giddy!! Yes, we do have a tow vehicle - Dodge Ram 2500. We currently have a 2014 Eddie Bauer 27 and I thought I was going to die with excitement waiting for that one!

Remax Gal, in the process of developing a personality, so, just a few changes.

Here is a great little table in dark cherry, it's on sale and is just the right size if you are in need.

Great find on the table, been looking for that exact sort of table to place behind the dinette. Just ordered mine. Thanks for sharing.

I ordered the key fob for the Relax awning and the board and remote arrived today. Very speedy service since I just called them Tuesday. If you are interested in doing this ($368), you'll need the number on the red dot that's affixed to the Relax module in your trailer. It's either behind the sink, or in my case, pull out the drawer under the microwave and you'll see it back there. Have been busy this week with a Magnum MSH 3023 inverter/battery charger. This is a BIG project and I'm about 80% done. I moved 4 circuits off the main panel into a sub-panel that'll connect to the inverter. Also installed a transfer switch so if I ever have an inverter issue I can bypass it and use the main panel. Tomorrow, I'll install the 4 Lifeline AGM 6V batteries. I wonder if anyone will be interested in the two GP 27's in my battery box? Used only 2 weeks!

Converter Location

Have been looking a lots of pictures of both the queen and twin and still can't figure where the converter is located. Would appreciate it if one of you folks who have one could tell me the location. Thanks.

The converter/charger is located under the main power panel. In the Classic with a queen bed, the main power panel is located behind a cherry panel under the left closet door.

Many thanks. Suspect the location is the same in the twins since they're identical except for the sleeping area.

The thing is if the low end was treated as well as the top end then there might be even more repeat buying, and isn't that what sales is all about?

George
Agreed, but our 2015 Eddie Bauer was not significantly lower priced!

Remax - curious as to why you are ditching the Eddie Bauer ... I remember your excitement when you got that one ...? Did the ducted air factor in to the decision?

Mefly2, man...I hate to think I'm "ditching" the Eddie but rather allowing someone else to love her!! Our decision was based on the fact that we were not using the Eddie very much for the reason we bought her - open hatch for hauling canoe, kayak, scooters, bikes, etc. And we thought that if we were not going to use it for those things, having a nice couch with recliners was VERY appealing to us. Also, having all of the extra storage space is very good. The ducted air was not a factor - we rather like the noise when we sleep! Having the extra 3 feet will be nice as well!

I still love the Eddie and can't wait for our next camping trip to AlumaFlamingo in Sarasota next week. But I know having the extra space and the recliners will make our camping trips a lot more enjoyable. We like setting up camp outside and spending time outside, but like to be comfortable when we are forced inside.

So now...I'm just equally excited about getting the Classic!

COLD WEATHER TIP: My Magnum inverter fits underneath the rear dinette seat. If you haven't pulled off the lower panel of the seat you should. Then remove the drawer. There are four VERY easy nuts to unscrew. If you do this, you can VERY EASILY slide the dinette seat out. What you will find is the back of the outdoor shower, the back of the 50amp receptacle, your subwoofer, and a large, opening (14" high by 16" wide). This opening is right over your ss wheel well and leads into the back of the fridge compartment. It being EXCEPTIONALLY cold in NC, I was ASTOUNDED at the cold air coming through this wide open space. Also, the possibility of sealing the edges of the inside of the SS shower panel. Suggestion: buy some of the metal silver ductwork tape and seal around your outside shower panel. Also, you might want to slide some insulation into the open cavity behind your subwoofer. Remember: even though the fridge is boxed for combustion purposes, just on the other side is the wide open ventilating panel where air gets into your fridge compartment. The cold air does NOT need to come into the trailer itself and some well-placed insulation will make your trailer more energy efficient.

....and so, the BIG inverter project is completely finished. The mess is cleaned up, and we are ready to dewinterize and travel. If the weather would only cooperate. As you can see, all my meters are lit up except the solar....which doesn't do anything while it's parked in the Airstream "Villa."

Really nice work Barry, and those Persian style deep red and soft gold rugs fit perfectly in the space and rich decor of your Classic.

My, my, it does my heart good to see lots of lights and meters. Ours is getting that way, but that looks really nice.

Rich, wishing modern computers still had all the blinky lights so I can tell what they are really doing...

Those area rugs and sofa pillows make Ole 3430 that much more beautiful. The "lived in" aspect makes it that much more pretty.

I could find a use for one of them. The lone Group 27 in our trailer is 3 years old, and I generally replace it around that age.
