I didn't say 3 months, I hope not more than another week or so. What I have been told by my dealer ( I do not know if it is true) my unit is built came off the line October 9. and is sitting there with others waiting for cherry cabinet door (or door's) not sure if it an outside vendor causing the delay or what. The problem is I can't get a straight answer from anyone. I sent an email yesterday to JC and waiting for a reply. My frustration is I have several direct waterfront campsites throughout the Florida Keys I will need to start canceling if it doesn't arrive soon. These are the campsites you need to book 11 months in advance to get.

Oh Firedog I know how frustrating you must be. The Keys this time of year - you are right are hard to come by. I sure hope everything works out for you. I do find it rather odd that they are not responding upfront with you with some answers. You must be frustrated beyond belief. I'll be excited to know how everything goes in Tampa. We have been dealing with North Trail in Ft. Myers, but - no more. Tampa is where we will be going for servicing now. We stayed at the Blue Water Keys in July - if that is one of your choices - you will not be disappointed. It's a lovely campground! Best of luck to you. Please keep us posted. We definitely hope to be getting a classic - SOON!

I've found Airstream Customer Service in Jackson Center far more helpful than my dealer. Have you tried calling them?

It is hard to understand why you should have to contact the factory. This is the DEALER'S job. It's pretty clear that there have been some unhappy folks who have ordered this trailer. My dealer ordered the model I'm buying back in June. I ordered a "from the factory" Mercedes S550 -- which was built in Germany -- back in April and it was in my driveway the second week in June. They certainly aren't covering themselves in glory taking care of folks who are buying the top of the line model -- and if they weren't ready to produce it then they shouldn't have taken orders. I'm also wondering why your trailer is "paid in full" before you have accepted delivery and gone over it with a fine tooth comb. An odd business practice to be sure.

Bab, some of us have good dealership experiences but mine has been so ineffective I have given up on them and go to Jackson Center for what I need, information and service. We travel around the country a lot so it is easy to for us to add them to our route and well worth it.

It shouldn't be that way that but I get tired of banging my head against the wall.

When I was back in August getting warranty work done I believe we told on the tour that the cabinets for the Classic are outsourced. Was specifically looking for Classic bits and pieces and saw none while I was there for the week.

They are suppost to have a 2015 Classic at the Florida show. Who knows if we like it and it is still AVA might come home with it behind the BIGGEST tow veichle. Just hope I do not pull the frame out from under the trailer. M2/106 with 1000 lbs of torque

UPDATE: I did receive a prompt response from JC. The cherry cabinet doors and frame for the refrigerator and microwave are made by a local cabinet maker. They did have a delay but all of the parts arrived in JC late afternoon yesterday. My trailer will be shipped to dealer by weekend. So, with any luck we will be in it early next week. Stay Tuned...

p.s. I really did appreciate the prompt reply from "The Mother Ship" JC

Love the looks of the new classic. We wish that they still were making the 27 FB classic but maybe in the future.

Enjoy your new beautiful trailer

Just heard from my dealer today, my October 22nd completion date is now the 31st.
Cabinetry door delays.
Oh well,

Just spoke with our dealer today, factory rep told him there are already 56 Classics on order, and that is before any are on the ground to drool over, dealers are excited. Small buzz about the loss of storage, i guess at $125,000 you can afford to ship your stuff, or buy when you get there. i am just proud of this company that bought into this year, in the long run we are all position well--the boomers, and SOB's are coming our way, and bringing much excitement. Knowing they have to wait, the used and consignment market is on fire. Happy trails.

Bummer Ron. If our weather holds, you may be able to sneak in a few nights and get home without having to winterize. Jim

I spoke with my dealer and he shared the following information;

My 2015 Classic is scheduled to be delivered on November 11th
My Parents 2015 Classic is scheduled to be delivered on November 30th

He also told me he had orders for 4 more of the Classic's, 3 for customers, and 1 for his lot.

Sorry to hear, I was looking forward to seeing it. We are heading out to the Pinery tomorrow for the Halloween function and then stopping back at CanAM on Monday for winterizing/storage.
