Hey Gal! Your gonna have to get off your beach, quit looking and getcha one! It will soon be time to hit the open road. I'm glad that I waited till spring for my delivery - now that they are making some changes that I think everyone knew would be coming. I like the newer interior colors, the stove delete and the new adjustable vents.

You go girl! Get the awning, they have had three years to get the bugs out. If you don't get it now, I guarantee you will wish you had latter! I have had one and it sure is nice to just push a button when you go to bed, leave for the day or setting up in the sun when it's 90 degrees!

Happy Dance!

We are now officially in line for our 2015 Classic. Deposit has been paid and paperwork will be finalized next week at the Florida RV Supershow. Thank you Tim Maxwell from Airstream HQ and Mike from Tampa RV for helping to make our dreams come true.

That is wonderful Pagey! When do they believe you can take delivery? I'm still waiting to find that out for us. Can't get an answer!

By looking at the video and pictures that have been posted, I don't think that the twin beds have the power function that the queen bed has. Having not seen one in person I can't state this for a "fact," but I do believe that I am correct in stating that the twin beds will be "non-powered!"

Remax Girl:

Hi Laura. Although we won't be able to confirm until next week, Hub was told that, thanks to someone else's cancellation, we squeaked in with the April builds. I hope that is accurate. If your order has already been placed and deposit paid, I would guess your build will be in line before ours.

We went with the fully loaded package, queen bed, chestnut seating with sandalwood counters. It's gonna happen!!!

Tater: There will be a Classic at the show. It is listed as being in inventory at Tampa RV, but it is there for the show only.

I know you must be excited! I'm still waiting for the quote! Frustrating! So...no deposit made - no nothing! Duke, I believe you are correct about the power twins. It did not matter to me one way or the other, but I would be shocked if they were power.

Laura:

If you can, go to the RV Supershow in Tampa next week and speak to Mark Castro. You will be able to negotiate there and get your order placed.

Unfortunately (or fortunately!) we will be in Asheville next weekend. I LOVE going to that show and hate that it is the same weekend. I may give him a call, as I'm not getting anywhere with my guy. I guess he has big million dollar motorhomes to sell - no time for a poor Airstreamer )

All you future owners satisfied with the kitchen layout? There are drawers under the stove but the drawers for silverware and other utensils are behind cabinet doors. How do you feel about the mw/cv oven in such a low position? I guess there is no way to mount over the stove in the cabinets.

Duke the twin beds do have power elevation for the head section. Not shown in the video from Colonial, though when he tilts up the bed to show the storage you can see the power wire at the head end of the bed. The roadside is shown in an up position in the video from Haydocy. Confirmed with Patrick this morning.

Also for those doing the twin beds they are a 'new' size'. I've got a call into the factory about sheets but the curbside is 36x80 and the roadside is 36x78.75. Wider and longer than current twins.

Eagerly looking forward to the end of March...

As I said before, I was not stating a "fact." Just my observation from what I have seen on this forum. I still don't see any mechanism for the tilt, but if I am wrong - which has happened before, or so my Wife says, then everyone that has ordered the twins will be happy. I hope that you have been given the correct info?

As of today, my dealer tells me that my Classic is due for completion on 21 January. So, the date hasn't been moved since early December. I'm taking this as a good sign. I project I've got about 3 full weeks of modifications to do once it's parked. The longer I've waited, the more stuff I've acquired to add to it. The latest is a MagnaSine Hybrid Inverter/Charger (MSH-M). This will allow every 120V outlet to be 120V constantly. Of course, this means four LifeLine 6V batteries, heavy DC wiring, a sub-panel, and on and on. The net-net will be a much slicker electrical system. Since I'm putting in 600W of solar anyway, I decided it made sense to do this all at once. Oh, and I've fabricated an "instrument panel" that'll mount in the wardrobe. One control box instead of stuff spread around. I stained it cherry to complement the wood cabinetry.

BAB if you have the Magnum unit with the Remote really no need for the Trimetric. Between the BlueSky IPN and the ME-RC you will have the same information. Are you running separate battery systems?

I am planning on a short term two separate battery systems set-up. I'm going to keep the stock Interstates for awhile and will use the Trimetric for them. I'm about 90% sure I'll go with the new Lithium's for the main system. I have all the right piece-parts with the new solar and MSH-M inverter/charger. While I get a bit pale thinking about the price for 400W of lithium batteries, I also get pale at the weight of 4 monster 6V Lifelines. It seems to me that the imminent arrival of my trailer and the current availability to go lithium is convincing enough to spend the $ now. I had a Trimetric in my old trailer along with the Blue Sky IPN, and while it was redundant I enjoyed comparing the two devices! You got sharp eyes, Gary!
