2015 classic

Opened up our bathroom door today to find the wall mounted mirror had fallen off of the bathroom wall. Ugly mess, besides the glass everywhere, damage to the countertop and cabinets. Two sided tape is all that is holding this on.
Have been in contact with Colonial and sending pictures.
More to follow...

Were you towing, or it had just been sitting waiting to go on the road? Not good especially if one is superstitious...

It was just sitting at our house. I think possibly the warmer weather and defective tape? Colonial stated they were going to contact corporate as I'm sure this may not be the last. I hope the bathroom door mirror is not next.

Well it is a BIG mirror. Put in a shorter one and install a shelf across to top for more places to put the daily stuff. Don't want mine to fall off and break but would love the shelf. The tech at RV plus in Tampa told me that the door mirror mount is new and better since it is set in the door frame. They had problems with the older style but not the new one.

Wait for the bathroom door mirror to follow. My wall mirror came down damaging the corian counter and cabinetry after the first week. The door mirror took a few months to come down. I had a local mirror/glass company install a new one, this time with the proper adhesives. All good now. Btw my dealer paid for costs. Thumbs up for Andy at CanAm!

The same thing happened to us this weekend. We're headed to Colonial next week to have it repaired by framing the mirror. I just shot them an email to discuss the door as well. Thank you!!

Proper grade 3M double sided tape and RTV sealant would add $6.37 to the $130,000 cost of that trailer. That's a bit steep of a loss for Airstream.

The bathroom mirrors are still in place on our 2016 Classic. After reading this thread, we are wondering if we should add some mirror clips (the clear type) around the perimeter before it falls.

However, the adhesive on the velcro holding the corian inset in the couch center armrest failed during our first trip allowing the Corian slab to fall behind the couch. Two strips of velcro were not enough for the weight and we are not even in the hot south. Our temporary solution is to leave the armrest down during travel. I suspect several strips of industrial strength velcro may be the permanent fix if we do not claim it as a warranty repair.
