Polk Audio
Nice! When I saw the video that Patrick/Colonial AS posted of the 30' Classic, I was drooling. Sweet, sweet AS. And Polk Audio speakers!!
I have been a fan of Polk Audio since the 80's. I bought a set of their SDA SRS 2.3's when I was stationed in Germany. The PX kept fartin around telling me they had ordered them. I waited for three weeks, and then got the butt. I called Polk Audio stateside, and the receptionist promptly took my #, and said "give me ten minutes & I will have the European Regional Director call you back immediately."
I was flabbergasted. Sure enough, it was indeed the director calling me @ my home in Neusass, W Germany. He apologized immensely that the PX was ignoring me. Polk was having an audio show just over the French border the following weekend. He offered me a substantial discount if I could come to the show to purchase them directly. Again, amazed at how serious he was to earn my business. I have Polk speakers everywhere in my house, our boat, my kids cars, both outside decks, yes..I should be one of their reps. Maybe when I retire!
I found out today that the head-end unit AS is putting in your unit, was made in conjunction with AS Electronics. They are home to Jensen Audio products. Polk Audio helped AS dsign & develop the head-end unit. You cannot purchase that unit directly from Polk. At $450 bucks, that's a pretty pricey unit, but the expandability of it is remarkable given what is on the market today.
I know you are enjoying your unit, and that's a very nice addition you have added. Nothing like relaxing and listening to music, and with Polks, oh man..love em! Congratulations on your new addition. Very nicely done.
Sea ya down the road.
