We have a new 2013 Flying Cloud too; haven't tried opening the windows yet.'s an Airstream video on how to operate your windows:

Is this video a true representation on how the windows work on the new Airstreams?

Wish I would have seen this video earlier. I pulled two knobs off trying to open our stuck windows. Then I decided to use the window tool from the outside of the trailer to release the window. I found the window tool in the utensil drawer - a plastic fork

Video is pretty much the way it works.

We had a FC 20 SE with the small galley window, which was also an escape hatch. Just propped it open for ventilation. If it had the hardware for holding open, it would not open large enough for an escape hatch.

Our new 25 has an operating rear window also designated an escape hatch, and it has the hardware to hold open. But it can still be opened wide enough to climb out, the FC 20 could not due to small size.
