water inlet only?

new to AS. My 2010 25fb has a water inlet only above the bigger city water inlet. 2 questions: what is this smaller water inlet for? and 2) my little plastic cap that covers it does not stick tight and always flys open. anybody have a neat trick to remedy?

The second water connection (i.e., the one above the city water) is for the black tank flush. It's a handy feature and it pays to use it periodically to give the black tank a good cleaning. Use the "Search Function" to find threads that discuss the proper use of the black tank flush.

Happy camping!

Bob answered the black tank flush question, careful to never mix them up when hooking up water line.

I cut off the plug that never stays put and got a screw-in cap for it. The 2013 and on Airstreams come with a screw-in cap, you can get one at a dealer maybe, or Camping World, Home depot but they may be white.
