I too have had similar multiple part replacement issues with the Fantastic fans. One still doesn't work. After 4 different parts sent, I requested that I be able to send the whole fan in for diagnosis, or they just send me a whole new one. No dice. They always want to walk through a diagnosis, and have me do electrical testing.

I'm done with them. Replaced with Maxxfan Plus's. Very happy. Much quieter, reversible, 10 speeds variable, and come with remotes which is great when you are lying in bed.

Stock ones are reversible as well, but you have to buy and add the switch yourself.

I would never trust it. Plus using them one tank at a time ensures you always have one that works and that you can fill it later, while always having a good one.

How hard is that? I noticed that same issue in my 23D. You fill it and it drains fairly quickly. I assumed it was the seal. Did you go through AS first, or just contact Thetford directly?

When do you get your check from AS for all the manual work you had to do.

Our AS is in the shop for the convertor, not having them replacing with a 1 Stage, I am getting a 4-Stage Boondocker BD 1260HW (60 Amp 4-Stage Converter/Charger Hard Wire).

They are paying to have it installed.

Pobere...this sad experience with a brand new AS will help those folks who keep asking about the risks of buying a used AS vs buying new...with the assumption being that EVERYTHING works if they buy new. Good post. jon

I HAVE A 2016 22FB...with a list as long if not longer. Wish I never brought. Don't have the tools or smarts to fix by myself. It has been in for service on another list now for almost 3 weeks. I was told that I am not their only customer. Bought thinking AS was a quality product. I feel my dream to camp is gone.

Sorry to hear that. Our 2014 FC 30' has been virtually problem free. Don't become discouraged. They do exist. I hope you get your problems resolved soon.

Good for you. We are happy with the multi-stage converter we purchased from Best Converter in Idaho. Very easy to install.

Elementary "Dear Watson". I am wiser for the experience. Robere

Thetford came through. I contacted them, supplied the appropriate info, and they sent a gasket kit. Utilized You Tube to move forward and within an hour everything was up and working properly. Robere

Sorry you've experienced much of what we have. My wife a former sailor and RVers aplenty have reminded me that if it moves, was designed and built by men, it will need repairs. Soon everything will be dialed in and you'll forget these issues as you enjoy songs and laughter with new friends around a campfire and adult beverages. Robere
