I too have had similar multiple part replacement issues with the Fantastic fans. One still doesn't work. After 4 different parts sent, I requested that I be able to send the whole fan in for diagnosis, or they just send me a whole new one. No dice. They always want to walk through a diagnosis, and have me do electrical testing.
I'm done with them. Replaced with Maxxfan Plus's. Very happy. Much quieter, reversible, 10 speeds variable, and come with remotes which is great when you are lying in bed.

Stock ones are reversible as well, but you have to buy and add the switch yourself.

I would never trust it. Plus using them one tank at a time ensures you always have one that works and that you can fill it later, while always having a good one.

How hard is that? I noticed that same issue in my 23D. You fill it and it drains fairly quickly. I assumed it was the seal. Did you go through AS first, or just contact Thetford directly?

When do you get your check from AS for all the manual work you had to do.

Our AS is in the shop for the convertor, not having them replacing with a 1 Stage, I am getting a 4-Stage Boondocker BD 1260HW (60 Amp 4-Stage Converter/Charger Hard Wire).
They are paying to have it installed.

Pobere...this sad experience with a brand new AS will help those folks who keep asking about the risks of buying a used AS vs buying new...with the assumption being that EVERYTHING works if they buy new. Good post. jon

I HAVE A 2016 22FB...with a list as long if not longer. Wish I never brought. Don't have the tools or smarts to fix by myself. It has been in for service on another list now for almost 3 weeks. I was told that I am not their only customer. Bought thinking AS was a quality product. I feel my dream to camp is gone.

Sorry to hear that. Our 2014 FC 30' has been virtually problem free. Don't become discouraged. They do exist. I hope you get your problems resolved soon.

Good for you. We are happy with the multi-stage converter we purchased from Best Converter in Idaho. Very easy to install.

Thetford came through. I contacted them, supplied the appropriate info, and they sent a gasket kit. Utilized You Tube to move forward and within an hour everything was up and working properly. Robere

Sorry you've experienced much of what we have. My wife a former sailor and RVers aplenty have reminded me that if it moves, was designed and built by men, it will need repairs. Soon everything will be dialed in and you'll forget these issues as you enjoy songs and laughter with new friends around a campfire and adult beverages. Robere

All systems up and running as of today, October 24, 2016. We depart Bend, OR for AZ within 10 days and should be enjoying sun and new friends over the forthcoming months. Robere

Thanks for posting Robere. Hopefully it's small stuff from here on out!
How did you know the city water regulator was leaking? I've heard of this a couple of times and this comcerns me more than the rest.
Thanks!

Hi Robere,
Nice to hear that you have such a positive attitude after all those issues.
Enjoy

I also recently discovered my city water inlet fixture was leaking slowly. In my case, I had just installed a water detection alarm in the area below it, where there are a lot of plumbing connections. The alarm went off the next time we used the trailer. The inlet fixture was dripping from a seam at the back of the fixture (toward the inside of the trailer). The water formed a small wet spot on the floor at the rear corner of the wheel well. The alarm detected the wet spot when it was only an inch or two wide.
The alarm I installed is a new kind you may not have seen before. It comes with a type of wire that you can snake around the edge of an area. It's a Honeywell RWD41.
The picture shows the RWD41 main unit in the lower left. A phone-type cable connects from it to where you put the water-detection cable. The detection cable is the one on the right that runs back into the darkness. It is a plastic cable with bare metal wires spiraling around it.
(You may also notice another, older water alarm in the picture. The box is at the far left, and it has a single detection unit that is mounted to the right of the pump. This type of alarm could also detect a leak like this, but it only senses water in a single location)

First clue: Water on the ground on the street side aft of the rear most tire (I was not hooked up to city water). After observing that it only occurred when the water heater was on overnight I enlisted the experts on this forum and learned that water pressure increases when water is heated. DUH! I felt the interior side of the city water input port / pressure reducer and sensed moisture. Voila! Enlisting the experts on this forum again it was suggested that the fitting had failed (it is made of plastic with two halves screwed together) and replacement was necessary. An accumulator was also suggested as well as adding a flexible hose between the interior rigid plumbing and the city water input port / pressure reducer to minimize physical strain on the "not so cool plastic" port. I accomplished each of the three recommendations and am now without a slow leak. Another hint early on was the pump cycling briefly during the night with the water heater on and without calling for water in a sink or toilet.
