For those of us who are taller and have the lower, standard size toilet that sits on the floor, there is a accessory that will raise the seat to a comfort level that is mid-way between standard and handicap. It's proven to be a nice modification to our toilet.

This may be it, it raises the entire toilet a couple of inches...

No, it just wasn't there when we purchased new. It may be one of the idiosyncrasies of the 23FB. And, ours is not the porcelain type.

But the fix was about a fifteen minute job. The trick is to cut the World War I "helmet" tube ending that you see in the photo top right. The attached photo is of the valve at the rear of the commode. Gotta love those iPhones for taking pics in confined spaces.

I used a handheld mirror and a smaller saw to snip it just below the helmet's rim. Slip the hose with clamp over the end of the tube, tighten and it was done. Of course your choice of where to mount the sprayer.

I loved the comment about how the stepper is adjustable. Now that's good ergonomics! Thanks for sharing this idea.

If I e-mail Thetford will they send me a spray wand. My 2012 25FB FC did not have one installed? I would be ok with installing it myself.

First of all, make sure your unit has the same commode, then call Thetford. When I first called the tech folks at Jackson Center to inquire about the hand spray, they told me I had a Dometic unit in my trailer. That turned out to be incorrect.

The literature that came with your unit will have something to help you identify the make and model of the commode.

That's the starting point.

Good luck!

Thanks Murray, It seems that it might be simpler to just go to Home Depot and buy one. It's just a spray attatchment off of a kitchen faucet. It will make cleaning the toilet much easier.
