Satellite Connection on 2014 Flying Cloud 27FB

As I have previously stated I will pickup my 2014 27FB on Tuesday but if someone can answer my question I will not sit here wondering until then.

I noticed that on the exterior there is a cable connection and also a satellite connection which I thought was pretty nice. Could anyone advise me where the satellite plug is in the interior of the trailer? With the TV mounted on the wall i can't visualize where someone would place their receiver inside the trailer.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting questions - will be interested in reading the answers
I to have been interested in getting a sat. Dish, but I'm not sure how to hook it up
Also what is the best meter to get to tune the dish in while setting up at camp site (something easy is possible )

My inside sat wire is in the blueray player wad of wires. My sat box sets on top and a HDMI switch to select tv inputs.

If you slide out the Bluray player (couple of velcro tabs on the bottom in the front) the wire is usually tucked back inside that area. usually there is a hole where power runs down to the blue ray player, run it up and set your sat receiver there. Also you may want to consider getting an HDMI switch so that you can switch sources to the TV's. With my Dish sat RX i had to change out a switch that I had and just installed this. 3 inputs, SAT, BluRay and extra cable for the iPad. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Comes with a remote but so far seems to be automatically switching, at least if I only have one input live.

Arctic if you have a manual dish then an iPhone app like SatFinder Pro will help as will one of the inline meters. I just got a Dish/Winegard Pathway X1 and it was seriously simple to use, at least after getting service setup. Set it on the ground or tripod stand reasonably level so that it can see the southern sky, start up the DISH unit, follow the on screen instructions and in about 5 minutes it has locked on. Uber easy. Use a cable to lock it down like you would for your generator or bring it inside at night or while gone. Very light weight.

In our 30 FC the cable was behind the radio. I had to remove the blue ray player and shelf to get at the access panel for the radio. There is a rats nest of wiring back there. I found the satellite cable it was just long enough to route back to the blue ray player shelf. With that said you have a 27fb so they may have run it to a different place.

If you have not picked it up yet have the dealer show you where the cable is. That way if its buried like mine was the dealer can do the work.

Ghanes...it sounds like I need your technical support. Am I correct that I must remove the cable that goes from the Bluray player and connect that to the HDMI switch? Then connect the SAT cable to the HDMI and the Bluray player to the HDMI? Is it that simple?

Current cable plugged into the BluRay plugs into the HDMI switch OUT. You will need 2 new HDMI cables. One to go from the BluRay to Input 1 and another to go from the Sat RX to Input 2. So yep it is that simple as long as you have the cables.

If I had this option I would just purchase one of the Winegard Pathway X1. That said - i'm told the Winegard Pathway don't work with our Canadian Providers like "Shaw" in there southern USA. I'm not sure if this is true, but I cannot take the chance of buying one and then finding out it is.... (So if anyone knows please chime-in)

Thanks

Doug

I also ordered the same switch box. I'm hooking up my tailgater tomorrow in my 30 ft flying cloud. I'm confused as to where the hdmi "switch out" is located. Is it ton the rear of the switch box or on the rear of the sat receiver? Thx.

I have a flying cloud 20 and from these threads is sounds like setup requires blue ray plus hdmi splitter plus satilite receiver. Where do I find or how do I attach these three devices to power? Thanks folks!
