Replacement External Storage Handle/Lock Mechanism?

On my 2010 25FB, the curbside storage door handle / lock is very sensitive; and if i unlock it and turn it past ~30 degrees as i open it, the locking mechanism gets stuck in the open position. I ended up having to take it all apart. I am wondering if there is a better replacement?

replace external storage handle/lock mechanism?

Thanks for posting the link. I had no idea... and our 27FB has the same lock. Will get right on this when we return home.

Thanks for sharing that link AWCHIEF. I've added it to my reference list for when I get my AS.

I don't know when Airstream changed the storage compartment locks, but my 2015 Flying Cloud locks are not the CH751. They are a Southco lock.

My key has "SOUTHCO" on one side and "CH751" on the other.

I need help on this one: can you use the CH751.com lock when the storage locking mechanism has the cam/locking arm separate from the key-lock device?

Thanks.

daboose -- My key has Southco on one side and a two letter, three digit code on the other side. I also have a CH751 key for the outside shower compartment. My Southco lockset looks like your photo above. The CH751 key looks to be a stamped key, since the plating is around the notches (it is apparent it was not a cut key). The Southco key is a cut key and the notches are different than the CH751.
