Power Jack question??

Have a quick question about Power Jacks?? I have noticed on a few of the videos I have watched that they sometimes take of the foot part of the jack (the round part that sets on the pad). Is this a good practice or just something some people do??

I remove mine for much more clearance when going over uneven terrain, speed bumps, or areas that are not level.

Mine removed itself on a Blue Ridge Parkway campground pot hole.

I always take mine off when traveling. For clearance of my ProPride bars. But always did it with my Equalizer as well. Just didn't want it to fall off no matter if it was pinned.

My rig came with the foot unpinned. It actually is more convenient.

It gets in the way of my ProPride WD bars, so it gets stored in the "setup box" in my TV with water hoses, tools, and shore power cables.

If you love it, set it free, my friend.

I discarded when pur. AS in1977 pur. aluminum stand [round with pocket for post aprox. 8 inch tall] much better than pressed metal foot. This stand is back in production in 2 dif. hights.

I remove it when traveling and if I need the front end lower than the foot attachment allows.
