Remember the rule: no noise that reaches your neighbor.

Where did this rule come from and does it apply to barking dogs, meowing cats and children having fun.

Just wondering

For "outside of the trailer sound," we use a wireless Bose speaker that is connected via bluetooth to our sound source which is usually a smart phone or laptop which we use as a music server. We rarely listen to over-the-air radio since in most places where we camp, it seems to be mostly cowboy music or religious programming which is of no interest to us. [/QUOTE]

Ditto that...

Tough to find easy listening the further south you go

Jagzoo…..I hear ya. I get very frustrated when I have to hear campers blast their stereos…….because it interferes with me making noise, with my mandolin. I was gonna say " Just joking " BUT it's kinda true. If we can't play music where we are camping……..We are GONE

Since I've had my trailer, I v'e only had it at one campground. The owners started to advertise what weekend we would be there. Campers would show up after dinner with lawn chairs and coolers, for the " show ".

Anyway thanks for the heads up, I gotta remember some folks prefer peace and quiet over me jamming'.

Jagzoo really got me thinking.

I get enough quiet time at home. At home, or camping…I kinda like the sound of a party going on in the distance. It's like the sound of living.

I usually camp with musicians and friends…But what a drag it would be to have to listen to my camping neighbors play music that I wasn't in to.

Leonard Nemoy Sings The Blues.
The Pee Wee Herman Christmas Album
Hillary Clintons Madonna Tribute Album ( actually,…I'd like to hear that )

Sorry for going off on a tangent

I can't play an instrument or even sing well (except in the shower) however I do have over 10000 songs on my IPOD. I am sure there is a song in there to please my camping neighbors :angle:

This is my biggest complaint with my AS. No outside entertainment, and AS seem to be stuck in the 1900's. Every camper on the market has this, and when I am at the campground, I typically have to listen to the neighbor's music b/c like I said, even $8 grand pop ups come with outdoor speakers. I was told when I bought my camper that you can connect to the stereo with a Bluetooth speaker, but nobody seems to be able to tell me how, so my guess is it cannot, and I was told something that would not work. Very frustrating to have a camper that cost this much and I cannot even listen to a ball game under my awning from my AS, totally ridiculous to me.

I Agree, it makes no sense for an AS not to have a solution for this, when I camp I want to enjoy a ballgame in the fall, or music that I like, it is up to me to be respectful, not the president of AS that I hear refuses to let this technology be put into AS's. If they want to continue to grow when the economy tanks again, they are going to have to appeal to a broader audience, and these units are too nice and beautiful not to have more of them on the road b/c of management stuck in the mud. Allot of great trailers went under b/c of the same issues, Coleman folding trailers, #1 in market for over 30 years, gone, Hi-Lo, best up and down trailer ever made, gone, and the list goes on and on of great made trailers that went under, and I am praying AS is not next on that list.

Back to the topic.

It sounds primitive, but a standard issue red solo cup makes a fairly decent speaker. If you have never tried it, lay the cup on its side on the table or counter, put your phone in it with the phone speaker facing the bottom. That's it.

Nothing expensive or needing extra power. And no it doesn't get really loud. But it gets loud enough to hear sitting in your chair with your drink, and no danger of being "that person" bothering everyone else around you.

Big Mac 44, your prayers are being answered, Airstream cannot keep up with demand for their old-fashioned trailers.

Personally I can barely take a camping neighbor's outdoor entertainment, I think it's rude; Airstream should be commended for not offering it. Like other things, they can't please every wish, many of us have made changes or added equipment to suit us.

Airstream made the television screen bracket in the new 2016 Flying Cloud 26U model so the screen can swing into there doorway so you can see it from outside. I think the sound comes from the tv internal speakers.
