LP Gas Valve on 2014 Flying Cloud 27FB
I will be picking up my new 2014 Flying Cloud 27FB on August 11th. I noticed when I was touring my new trailer that there is an LP gas valve at the front of the trailer. I was advised by the salesperson that it was for hooking up a gas grill to the propane bottles on the trailer.
I have a couple of questions for anyone that has that particular model of AS. Keep in mind I have not yet received my trailer or the owners manual.
Does the trailer come from the factory with a universal connection hose to run from the gas valve to the grill?
Has anyone used their propane on their trailer for their grill?
Thanks in advance for any info you might share.

I used mine that way. The dealer gave me as short piece of hose and I added another 10' section. It takes a quick connect on the trailer end of things. The propane is already regulated so you won't need a regulator on the grill. It works great and is very convenient.

Does anyone have the parts list necessary to connect the LP port on the Airstream to a Webber Baby Q gas grill? I have the short hose that came with the Airstream, but need to go from there, or the port itself, to the disposable cylinder cylinder connection on the grill.

SilverCabin...please look at the response that Mr.Prez gave me which was very helpful. The Weber Q is the same grill I have. Because the Weber uses the LP disposable canister you and I both will need to purchase an adapter in order to use the hose and trailer LP fitting.
I hope that helps.

Yes that is helpful, but I'm wondering about the connection to the grill. Seems like there are additional parts/adapters needed.

That looks like what is needed. A little pricy though in the 12' length. I guess that's long enough.

Be sure to use teflon tape on the NPT threads of the quick connect.

I'd like to add my thanks. We're getting our 27FB ready for it's maiden voyage (after Labor Day) and we just bought a Weber Q1200 grille this evening. We'll probably take some of the 16.4 oz. bottles with us but it's always nice to have options (so I'll be ordering one of those hoses ASAP).

Yellow gas line tape
I'm using a similar setup on a Coleman Roadtrip grill.
If you're using Teflon tape on the adapter fittings, get the Oatey yellow (color) thread seal tape. It's thicker than the more common white Teflon tape and designed for LPS / natural gas/ butane which operate at higher pressures than water pressure.
Under normal circumstances, your propane tank regulator would reduce the operating pressure to a safe enough level to use the white Teflon tape however, for a few bucks more you can have some piece of mind by using the yellow thread seal tape.
Congratulations on the new AS.
Cheers

The pressure coming out of the trailer is already regulated to a low pressure, but you are right. Better safe than sorry when gas is involved.

21Airstream.....did you ever hook up your Weber to the LP connection on your As? For some reason the parts that was suggested doesn't seem to connect my Weber. I was wondering if you could offer any tips?
