Could it be the vinyl buckling?

I have one too, I went thru my dealer on up to customer service in Jackson Center. I have it on record for it appeared before my warranty runs out. Explained to me, a butt seam on the plywood decking, normal occurrence.

Where is it? Under the drawer? Mine are more noticeable than that. JC says it's normal.

CDONA's "hump" looks to me like the byproduct of a little sag of the plywood floor in between the joists. Nothing to worry about in my humble opinion.

Yes, the AS was at the Tucson dealer. It was something that developed on our maiden voyage. Just picked it up today and here is the official email the dealer received from Airstream in reply to their enquiry about a 3/8" "step up" in the floor (what I called a hump).

"Yes, you will find this rise on most of our front bedroom trailers (except that mine is not an FB). This rise happens in the area that we bolt in support bars to help stabilize the walking area. Also in the area we put in the cross car wiring chase so we can run wires from one side of the trailer to the other. These boxes actually sit on top of the chassis rail and create this rise. There is not a chassis issue with this. If you have any questions let me know."

So there I have it. My humps, my humps, I HATE my humps!

I would not take anyones word here or from an Airatream dealer that this is normal. Sounds like a trip to Jackson Center is in order. They are about 3 months behind on service appointments.

If you want a flat floor in an aluminum travel trailer you would need to buy an Avion.
But the newest avion you can get is a 1990 since they are out of business.
Plus they do not look as cool as an Airstream..

Jackson Center said my floor humps are normal. I had already presumed the humps were seams in the plywood because they are 4' apart.

At best this is nothing more than an excuse for cheap design and poor quality.

If they are in fact placing a wire chase on top of the frame it would be a simple thing to under cut the sub floor at that point and place a strip of sheet metal on top of the floor to reinforce the cut and maintain a flat floor.

This is nothing more than a demonstration in the lack of quality Airstream is willing to supply.

Double ditto. My hump in at the foot of the bed, left to right. Just because Airstream says it is normal does not make it so. Sounds more like poor design to me.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a "trip hazard" as any change in vertical height greater than 1/4". The rise of the floor in my AS as measured by the dealer and reported to JC is 3/8".
