Help -spring loaded hinges -can you adjust to soft close??

hello out there , I have a FC with those white spring hinges , when closing they slam hard . Yes I see the adjusting screw but dosen't seem to make a difference ( maybe I'm not running it out far enough?) oddly one door works fine , thats what got me thinking why the rest don't soft close. Should they not ?
PS As a stop gap measure I have stopped the bang with felt pads.

I've used these:
Blumotion Soft Close

Blumotion Soft Close Device - Blumotion Soft Close for Cabinets |

They can also be mounted in a drilled hole in the right application.

Click on the link to see a picture of the Sioux River falls near my home.
Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.
